http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHas6fg5lEw

I was wondering if this was a video for a 'new' Suikoden II

It says Gaiden in the title but it appears to be for two, or maybe a mix?

Help me!?! I must know if Suikoden II is to be re-released. I will play it!!

It's definitely Suikogaiden, unless they're combining the two. It has Nash, Zaj, Camus and Miklotov in what seems to be the Grassland, Humphrey and Futch battling the dragon, and I'm pretty sure I saw Lena in there.

This is the introduction for the game Suikogaiden II.

If you didn't know, this is basically another game like Suikogaiden where you advance through the story by making dialogue choices instead of being in an RPG environment.

It is mainly used for extra story and background to the Suiko Universe and is usually set in a timescale near the actual Suikoden game it's number relates to.

And it's only in Japanese as I understand it (not the Japanese sadly...) I will still play Suikoden II if I can find a reasonably priced copy! Thanks guys...

Very awesome video, never seen it before.

Did any of the 2 suikogaidens get ever translated into English. I have never played them sadly, I wished Konami would re-release these games for the Playstation 2 or 3 platforms in an English version.

none of the suikogaidens are translated into english and pretty much prolly will never be either, which is a shame.

Truely, Konami is being evil to us English speakers...

What do you know....
Konami is in Japan and they are completely concentrating on Asians and Japanese for sure... (sorry if there's any Japanese here.... no offense... :) )

Really is it that hard, to translate the text of a game into english.
I guess the whole issue for Konami are the logistics and distribution costs.

The main problem is that their probably isn't a market for such a game in English speaking countries.

Remember, they're still a business and they need profit. Releasing it in English probably wouldn't result in enough, if any, return in decent profit.

But any Suikoden fan who bought the regular Suikoden series would be willing to buy the Suikogaiden releases. So why the believe that there would be a huge discrepancy when distributing the Suikogaiden series compared to distributing the regular Suikoden series.

part of the problem, to my understanding, is that the gaidens tend to be text heavy games, a type that doesn't do well here in the us (not sure about how it would be received elsewhere), so that may be the main reason why it won't see our shores.

yes, this is from suikogaiden II; i remember some of the shots from other posts/avatars.

Another reason, other than the length of the translation, is that a lot of Japanese words are nigh impossible to translate into English, seriously, go to Google, look for a site in Japanese, ask it to translate and you'll see 2 in 10 words that are not translated or simply have no meaning in English...

*imitates Kyle's 'dark' face* Still doesn't stop me from wanting them...
