`It's the little things` - little gems in Suikoden V?

The little thing I loved the most were all the references to Harmonia just because it seems as if they're everywhere. I also liked all the Howling Voice references and every single thing that had anything to do with Suikoden II. III used to be my favorite, but wow, V is better than I dreamed it would be.

the way taht they integrated material from all of the series.

the mager battles combine 1 and 2 mechanics, and the music reaaly remindes me of 1's battle theme.

the quicker spell animation from IV, as well as several refrences about the grasslands.

Also, they put a lot more attention to relationships. I'm always hearing about the princes fortune about being surrounded by beautiful women, and in my opinion the story leans twords a relationship with Lyon. Plus, one star being the ex of another star was quite surprissing. Also they really emphasize family, with several charecters being related, and the whole royal family deal.

And the Barrows. Creepy, yet funny.

Hearing the battle music from IV when you fought the pirates on Nirva (sp?) Island made me smile. I've spoiled a few things here and there for myself, but I didn't see that coming.

Can you get into anymore battles on the island? Or is that it?

The first time I brought Moroon into battle and heard his battle remix.

Sadly, I eventually had to swap him out for a much less awesome character. There was abit too much involuntary head banging going on for me to concentrate on the game.

It was funny when viki said "What's wrong (Hero)? If you upset, i can take you to Super Happy fun land" I belive that was refrence to her world.

I remember a certain NPC line in Sol-Falena (before the whole mess started). I think a young Boy said something like, "When I grow up, I want to be queen too! But Mommy and Daddy said I can't do that. Why Prince? What's wrong with me?"

I couldn't stop smiling and chuckling at what that little boy said. :P
