Recruiting Murad (possible spoilers)

Camus the Noble

I read somewhere that in order to recruit Murad, you have to ask him to join every time you see him. Can someone confirm if this is true or not?

Yes, you have to ask him at least 3 times at different locations. For me, it was Rainwall, Lordlake and then Leclar.

For me it was Rainwall, Lordlake, and than got him at Beaver Lodge.

It's hard to find him at Raftfleet. I have yet to find him. Thus, in all playthroughs of mine, it has been Rainwall, Lordlake and Beaver Lodge.

He was at Raftfleet for me, but I don't think I asked him to join me. I said,"Why are you here?"

Am I screwed? :( I asked him to join me in Rainwall though.

You just need 3 places, so I assume you just need to have asked him 3 times before all the towns stop getting destroyed and don't need doctors anymore.

You know, for me, it actually took four conversations. I talked to him in Rainwall, Lelcar, Beaver Lodge, and then Doraat Fortress before he finally joined.

Well, many thanks to everyone who responded. Every day it becomes more and more apparent that the official strategy guide is good for little else than use as toilet tissue. I managed to get him yesterday, after talking to him at Raftfleet, Lelcar, and Beaver Lodge.

You still have one more opportunity: Stormfist.

I, however, only managed to find him in Rainwall and Stormfist, because I rushed. That DID leave me free to actually let people die in strategy battles, though, which made it more dramatic, I think.
