Yeah, they're called 'Toe Shoes' in the English language versions so at least that's a pretty good translation.

Yeah, "keep it simple", was in my mind... :)
It's good, that the german translation somtimes seems to take over word for word from the Englisch version ;) That makes it a lot easier for me here.

You can't wear more than two shoes in Suikoden II. I know this for sure because I couldn't pillage Barbara for extra boots early on in the game. :P I think the same goes for gloves or whatever kind of hand gears. Miscellaneous accessories like Fire Emblem, Thunder Amulet, etc. are fair game though. Three Fire Emblems give +21 DEF and +45 ATK all in all, for example. They do stack.
