Design doesn't do much for a site... it gets old pretty fast. "Useful hints and infos" that can be found in many other sites is not very useful.
I'm being pretty critical of many sites, so I'll give some ideas that can be used so sites can possibly have some unique content without copying some other site's info.
1) A site focused on collecting and storing suikoden-related images (there used to be such a site called 27runes.org or something, but it somehow merged with some other site. The new site owner had no idea how to run the gallery so the gallery folded, what a waste.
2) A feature focused on suikoden cosplay.
3) Some section detailing popular suikoden pairings (there is a pretty strong fan-base for this in Suikoden).
4) Suikoden cookbook (as suggested by kuwaizair in another thread).
5) A site dedicated to one character, or a group of characters with common themes (I remember someone who made a site dedicated to female characters of suikoden).
I'm sure there are more, there are Suikoden fans more creative than myself (I hope there is).
One sure way to kill your site and make sure nobody visits is to try and make your site a "general information" site, let alone calling it a "#1 resource for suikoden information" when every fan knows that's suikosource.
