Ok I think there are two possibilities:
1. Somebody on Gamespot made some mistake or some mistranslation and this is the result.
2. Maybe Queen doesn't have whole true rune but only one of it's three parts. So maybe Hero has Dawn rune, queen has some rune connected with light, and Zelase has third piece. Oh and one more thing: with those pieces there it could be similar situation like with those in Suikoden1 :Bright Shield Rune and Dark Sword Rune-althought they are pieces they have some power. So my speculation goes further: Maybe Queen lost her mind because her rune is incomplete?
But it could be 1 option...

Actually that does make sense. If you look at the symbol on the Queens head, it looks like only part of the whole picture of the rune (on the site).

I knew it! I knew you had to get pieces of SOMETHING because you're in so many dungeons in the trailer.

BUT! This is gamespot, a not so reliable Suikoden source.

That's interesting. It could be that the queen dies early in the game and the rune is somehow split. We've all just assumed that she will be the major villain throughout the story, but we really see little conflict with her. There's just a lot of stuff in the beginning at the palace, which is then raided by the enemy. It's possible the enemy kills her, and then you have to fight against them as you try to get pieces of the sun rune.

I hope there's more to it than that. I don't care for games that use the find all the pieces of this thingy plot. It's terribly cliche and linear.

Leknaat and Windy split the Gate Rune in two to keep it safe. Maybe the Queen or someone else splits the Sun Rune into several pieces and hides them around Falena to keep it safe?

Hmm, during the trailer some rouges break into the Queens Chamber and try to kill her, then she does some powerful-looking magic and the whole palace lights up. Maybe she split the rune then, and sent the pieces elsewhere?

It wouldn't make sense for her to give up when she's only fighting three rouge's, but hey, it's still a possibility.

I figured those rouges were working for her. It would count for the "things are not what they seem" side to the queen. She didn't seem too hostile to them, and they didn't seem that they wanted to murder her, so who knows?

Perhaps the Rune of Dawn will be one of these "pieces"? Makes sense to me. In that case, maybe there will be a Rune of Dusk? Kinda like the Black Sword and Bright Shield runes combining to make the Rune of Beginning.

Previously, gamespot said that Suikoden 5 is about "collecting the 108 pieces of the star of destiny," so I would be pretty skeptical about the integrity of their content.
