I believe Clive Van Houten from the old suikocastle.com made a font of the Sindar language a while ago. I think I still have it on my computer....I can type Word documents in Sindar.... |

Based on Latin eh? Nice. I know a bit of latin myself. Also I have created a unique language that only two people on the planet understand...
At any rate, nice work on the language. I like it. |

SARSadmin, I much thank you muchlymuchly for decoding and sharing the Sindar langauge.
I now know what the Sindar-speak in the S3 manga says ^_^
The following is copy and pasted from my LJ:
what Sara says in her spell in the end of the 2nd volume of the S3 manga.
She says "It Solves
A closed door
Open"
Going through the other volumes of the Suikoden 3 manga, we found that all Sindarian (or whatever) in books 3-5 is gibbrish.
However in Volume 6 Wyatt says "TUR *line break* NON" which could be translated as "turn on" or just a concidence
Chris's Sindar line in the same book is gibbrish, however. Or atleast as much a I can tell. _________________ Where am I going--I don't quite know. What does it matter where people go?

I am very disappointed about manga 3-5 too. The Sindar there are all gibberish.
Vol 2: Sarah "It solves a closed door open"
Vol 3, p. 112: Sarah "klgeu yjqob hmft" (gibberish)
Vol 5, p. 139: Sana "fkbwv" (gibberish)
Vol 6, p.4: Jimba "Turn on"
Vol 6, p. 139: Chris "fusion"
This is it so far. I think there are some Sindarians written on the walls of the ruin in S3, but I read that it is all gibberish too.
I am not a big fan on make up languages, but I do find decoding very fun :D
I once decoded the whole thing with the unknowns in the Pokemon gameboy game with my brother -.- We were actually the first people to decode the whole thing (at least on all the forums that my brother visited, we were the first to post the whole list). I really have free time at that time lol and I dont even like pokemon that much. I just love doing the decode thing :D _________________

Yes, I decoded the Ancient Highway/Cyndar Ruins Sindar text once, but all of it that I could get was gibberish, and most of it anyway was unreadable, because the graphics were too small.
I just checked on my computer, apparently I don't have the font anymore. I guess it was back before we reformatted our hard drive. And Suikocastle is long gone, so now I want the font again too :) |

Ah, its Fusion? That makes sense. I must have read wrong cause I got "FTSION," but the rest of my notes fit your translations as well.
I didn't try to translate anything other than the dialouge in the S3 books, however. Dunno if I could figure anything out without my trusty computer anyway ^^;
I wonder why they do some gibbrish some not. Guess they didn't think of anything fitting for them to be saying or something _________________ Where am I going--I don't quite know. What does it matter where people go?

maybe the manga artist lost his Sindar language list between Vol 3 and 5... -.-
Initially I thought maybe because he didnt have time. He was always apolagizing about the manga's delay -_- but then again, it doesnt really take that much time to write the Sindarian... _________________
