I think that he was just high all the time and kept forgetting about his allergy and removing the gold ball. ^_^

And, yes, Bang was stupid and didn't deserve to be a Star of Destiny.

Hmmmm...I never really thought that he was that stupid. He might've been a typical old man, but he wasn't stupid by any means. I would have rather had the S3 lottery method any day, but the new one was a pretty good idea...

Bang doesn't really run a lottery. You're not betting on anything. It's more of a raffle.

And his confession scene does not affect your winnings. They just added that to add flavor to his character.
