I didn't say the Ducks were stronger than the Lizards, but I did say there were still formidable warriors.

However, I think the Lizards are very rash and hot headed, making their impulsize retaliations against the Zexens and Harmonians quite silly. The Ducks are far wiser and actually have strategies - like a sinking village.

I am going to go with the humans on this one. If you look at all the leaders of the nations, except the grasslands, all or most of the leaders are humans. When it comes time to elect a leader once a new country is formed a human is always chosen. The humans have the largest population as we have seen so far so i would call them superior in population, and another example of human superiority would be harmonia. Since harmonia is considered the most powerful nation, and a human leads this country, I think you would have to call the humans superior.

We have also never seen a living object other than a human posess a true rune. You can point to the Zodiac Sword, but we don't even know what that really is or it it is alive. Every time a character has posessed a true rune it has been a human. Since the true runes are the greatest display of power in the suikoden world and only humans posess them then this is another example of human superiority.

As in reality, I highly doubt and disagree with the notion that any of the races are superior. Maybe that's just me being too 'into' the Suikoden world, however. Political power and ambition are no standards for the 'worth' of a race, nor is physical prowess or even mental ability.

I would deem the topic useless, personally. Just as in the real world, race is no indicator of ability in any particular area. Cultural norms may influence members of a specific race, as it does in real life, but not all Kobolds are dumb-ass dogs who have trouble speaking the language of humans. Not all elves are huaghty, slim creatures who seclude themselves from humans and so on.

National power is no answer, otherwise you could claim that the British are somehow the master race by virtue of having the largest empire in the world at one point. Or that Americans, as the sole superpower are the new master race. And that's what the topic is about: Which is THE Master Race of the Suikoden world. And, my view is, as in reality, the answer is: none of them.

Guess the topic should be:

Which race in suikoden do you prefer, huh?

My bad, sorry.

I really like the Duck Clan a lot. I really like their style. They have a good defensive locationa and they sell haziness runes (my favorite). I'm a big Sgt. Joe fan and a bug Rhett fan too.

Now that it's who we prefer, I'm changing my vote (wish I could actually do so) to the Kobolds, why? BECAUSE I SAID SO THAT'S WHY! No, I'm kidding, I think it's something about their loyalty and their affinity for combat that makes me like them...oh and Ridley.

I like the Wingers the most. Mostly because even though they were threated bad by the Two River folk they still were a bunch of cheery guys. I also thought i was cool when they helped defeat the Highlands with Two River and Kobols. Basicly the Wingers were just misunderstood. It's good to see Riou complete the work of Genkaku (or am I wrong here? wasn't he the one who led the there?)
