I think the points calibrated so far only include the first round. I'm actually not sure how Gaby calculated the points, as I was going to wait until the final results were completed to count them. Considering that we need to know how far each player makes in before we give them a point value. I'll have to ask her about it.
As for Blake-- the rankings are based on point values-- so as long as he does keep winning Major non-Slam tournaments, he'll be up there. I keep waiting for him to make his breakout in a slam, though. Blah. _________________

I posted the results after Round 1. Djokovic won his game in Round 1 vs Michael Berrer so he gets 1 point for it. The ones who win their game gets 1 point in Round 1, 3 points in Round 2 and so on (please have a look on Page 1, Gilly's first post there). So for Round 2 Djokovic doesn't get 3 points because he lost his match. I think Round 2 is finished now so I will post an update soon. |

I was thinking the other way around, actually. :O Everyone gets 1 point for making it to round 1, Djokovic gets 3 points for making it to round 2, and so on. I'm not very good at making these things clear. XD
That's also why I think it might be easier to wait until the end of the Championship to add up scores, because that way we can just take a look at all the players and find which round they made it to-- and then assign points based on that. _________________

That's a very good idea, Ben .... because I don't have to count all the points ;-).
To be honest: obviously I didn't get how you wanted to count the points. So actually everybody gets 1 point for Round 1 so everybody should have 20 points now (except me, I have Gael Monfils on my list who didn't play. I don't know if he's injured or what happened that he didn't start.) |

Huge upset today, Ana Ivanovic is done. This really puts a wash on a lot of people's hopes. Not me though, My wonderful Jelena is still in it. For how long though is a question. I think she can beat Wozniacki, but next round she is forced to face the all too hot Tammie Tanasugarn. That will be a good match.
As for the men's side, whatever. I don't focus on men's tennis, I like the sexy wimminz. _________________ I'm sorry and I apologize are the same thing.

Wozniaki is a very good up and coming youngster-- so I honestly feel that may just be the next big upset! It's possible, but I also doubt it. Jankovic, unlike Ivanovic, has been looking very solid so far this tournament.
I'm starting to sense a Venus v. Serena showdown in the finals.
Also, with Bartoli out also, I feel my chances at winning this game are done. So many upsets!
In other news, David Ferrer was upset today. That match was kind of up in the air, though, as Ancic is a very dangerous grass court player. He was also the last person to beat Roger Federer on Grass (over 6 years ago). _________________

I don't care about the Women's final or the women's matches. I like the sexy men ;-). Don't worry Gilly, I'm sure you will win nevertheless. Even though you won't get the bonus ... |

Ahh, a conflicting day for me-- Shahar Peer vs. Dinara Safina. I like both, but Peer is one of my favorites, so I was pulling for her, and lucky me, she managed to knock of Safina, who was the clear favorite.
It will be interesting to see how far she goes, but she has quite a difficult task next round in Elena Dementieva.
Janko Tipsarevic continued his run by beating one of my favorite tennis players, Dmitry Tursunov. Tipsarevic will be interesting-- I wonder if he can take out some other big names.
If Stepanek falls this round I think I'm out... but we'll see how the points add up in the end. _________________

I’m really happy that roger federer win the match again Llewton Hewitt.
I worried when the tie break begin that he could lose the first set, but he is a true champion, and he could win the first set with 9-7 tie break victory.
After that he closed the game with 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory. |

The scores won't be an accurate representation of the actual winners until the tournament is completed, because of the way I have it set up-- so I'm going to wait until the championships are complete before tallying up the scores, just to avoid misleading statistics.
Also... it's more suspenseful that way. ;) I'll have the women's scores up directly following the women's final on Saturday-- and I'll have the men's scores up directly following their final on Sunday. So expect to see the total scores up some time Sunday afternoon-night. _________________

Greatest match I've ever seen in my life. Even though Roger lost, anyone who says he's "vulernarable" or "in decline" after watching that match has to get their head examined. The only change is that Rafa has really gotten a lot better with age, and it's wonderful for tennis!
Also, funny thing: the only two people who got predictions right about who would win ended up finishing at the bottom of our leaderboard. Weird! _________________
