Would you guys prefer playing Suikoden 6 with bosses as hard as Seymour Flux in FFX?
Runes would be a new system
Towns would be more bigger like Suikoden 3
I'd imagine S6 would be a Suikoden 3-5ish. _________________ "The ferryman asks a high price." Auron (FFX)

I would like Suikoden to be a little harder, or have more game play mechanics, especially to the battle system. Implementing a skills system would be cool and would be a nice additions to Runes. Warriors would have superior skills, Mages have better Runes etc, etc.
These are just thoughts I don't know how hard it would be to actually give all 108 stars skills. _________________

Seymour Flux? Oh, boy. I remember fighting that guy...
Having a boss that hard in Suikoden games would make things more challenging. I wouldn't mind it. Suiko 5 didn't get hard for me until the very last boss. I guess it was because of that lame ass party I brought with me :P _________________ "...." - Any silent Hero

I would like harder bosses than there were in Suikoden V. I thought most of the bosses in V were easy (especially when compared to quite a few of the monsters you fight on a regular basis). I don't want the bosses to be very difficult, maybe as difficult as some of the earlier bosses in the series, but nothing near impossible.
On the subject of the battle system. I guess I would like a mix of both III and V. I would take the free-movement type system from Suikoden III and the formation system from Suikoden V. We could make our own formations and use them (at least to start out the battles). And thus, certain Rune spells will damage any allies caught in range (such as the Fire Rune in Suikoden III).
I would like to have more skills, such as in Suikoden III. It was difficult to limit people to only two skills, yet at the same time, it added some degree of strategy.
I think that's about all I can think of for now. _________________ Avatar courtesy of Midori

Yes! Harder if possible. It really needs to be more challenging this time around. I would actually enjoy it. Suikoden IV and Suikoden V weren't very hard at all. Especially IV. Not even the final boss was nearly challenging enough.

Same here. As far as boss battles go I was kinda dissappointed :( _________________ "Your pain shall be two-fold!"

Its hard to see that I think. Suikoden with FFXish gameplay and etc. Challenging recruiting, war battles, normal battles, movie cutscenes haha!! I wanna see that! _________________ "The ferryman asks a high price." Auron (FFX)

Not as hard as Seymour (damn, I hated that blue-haired freak), but I'd prefer it be at least as hard as Suikoden III. Of course, a good deal of the reason battles in that game were difficult at times was due to the fact that you only had 3 commands to give 6 characters during a battle. If they can balance Suikoden V's party mechanics with Suikoden III's difficulty, that would probably be a good thing. |

I don't what everyone's talking about, I thought FFX was one of the easiest RPGs I've ever played. _________________ "Into battle we ride

Seriously? You must be very good at RPGs, then. FFX was an extreme pain in the backside for me. |

It's decently hard, for me.
That Seymour fight was a major pain though. But nothing as hard as that special optional boss that came with FFX International. If Suikoden desires to copy Final Fantasy, then this level of difficulty is what I expect of Suikoden's NORMAL bosses. |

Obviously you guys never used the Calm Lands Monster Arena.
I'd love to see formations back. They were pretty fun and effective to use, though sometimes dangerous(True Men's special skill). I'd also like them to rid of the Entourage. I don't know why, but I always preferred strictly only one support character only. And for party member selection, I hope they place the characters in order of their stars, and not alphabetically. That bugged me... for some reason. <_<
Oh, and I'd like that skill system thing from III back. Not V's, it was cheap. _________________

It thought it was pretty easy for the most part too. That Seymour fight was a pain in the ass though. And I hate him, which made it ten times worse... RPG should be at least a little more difficult. I like the challenge  I thought Yunalesca was a bit irritating the first time around. _________________ "Your pain shall be two-fold!"

I don't recall that Seymour fight being particularly hard, though it has been a long time since I played the game. I do want to see more difficult fights in Suikoden though, I mean there have been a few that can potentially annihilate your party but recently the biggest challenge has been splitting your strong characters intp multiple parties to fight those three endbosses. _________________

I did actually try this during a 2nd playthrough, but I found it so tedious that I completely lost interest in the game. The first time around, I made it inside Sin but could not defeat the final Aeon. |

Yeah, obviously the calm lands monster arena posed the biggest challenge, but even those fights became pretty easy(although long) when you know how to set up your characters correctly. _________________ "Into battle we ride
