Just found out about this game today, I don't normally go buy a game even if it was only five bucks, but reading about it got me so hyped that I had to get it as soon as I could.
It also happens that when I do get overly excited about something it'd end up sucking 95% of the time, but this $5 game is so awesome that I'd go buy an iPod just to play it if I didn't already have one.
The game is designed by Harmonix and plays simple enough: 3 keys to hit with some swooping action on the click wheel. I would think the presentation is solid for a game on the iPod, though I never played one before so I wouldn't really know. But once you get some of the songs you love and start playing, it is totally awesome, there's just something about playing the songs on your own playlist that makes such a simple game seem as entertaining or even more so than other much complicated rhythm games.
There are some issues though, like some tracks' beats just don't work very well, or how the segment system during the songs breaks up or cuts off some good parts of each song, and one can only play for less than an hour before the iPod is completely drained, but I been hooking the thing up to the computer all night just to play it, some of the great songs from U2, Green Day & Death Cab for Cutie I tried works amazingly well, so does many of the great background music tracks to Suikoden.
This is totally the best $5 I ever spent (legitimately) on games, I can't think of any Gameboy, GBA, DS, PSP or whatever handheld game I ever got that's as exciting to play or would be worth playing as long as this, and I would think if anyone did buy an iPod because of this game, it would be totally worth it. _________________ SAVE A.D. - S.O.B.s
