The member roseale joined on September 26 and apparently at once left his nation. While such an act should normally lower his karma score, this is obviously not possible if he has already 0 karma to begin with. For some reason his karma increased instead, and right now he has a score of 8668. |

If that member had a nation, regiment and posts, I would hate to see the kind of beast it could become with that karma. _________________

Haha, that's interesting. How come he is a civilian though? _________________

I think he's just one of those folk who immediately resign from all current groups for the hell of it. _________________

But with the regiments now being controlled via the database instead of usergroups, I'm not sure how a new member would resign from it so easily. I mean, do new members go through the trouble of contacting an admin and asking to have their regiment removed? A regiment is such a trivial issue that I don't see why anyone would really care whether or not they had one. _________________

If this person dropped from 0 to 8668, what happens if the site remains open for the next thirty years? Are people going to start going over the Karma cap and resetting? _________________

That is something to worry in 30 years time. No point in worrying about it now. =D _________________

Considering that the WWW is only about half as old, I would say no. |

I don't know! I've only been using it for about 13 years or so? I know it was around before I started using it, I'm just not sure how long! _________________

Like I just said in my previous post, the WWW is about half as old as those 30 years you mentioned. It was developed in 1989 and became available to the general public in 1993. This means if you are actually using it for 13 years now, then you were a very early user.
(I know this is off-topic, but since this is not a discussion thread anyway, I guess it doesn't matter.) |

Wow! I thought it had already been around for a while when I started! Let's see we got a computer with America Online when I was in the seventh grade, so yeah, almost thirteen years. I haven't been an avid use that long, though. But, what I meant was that a site usually doesn't last far in excess of five years, as cultures change. It's also likely to say that Suikoden probably won't be around for another thirty years, though I wish it would! _________________
