I am at Saraday (Sp?) and I just gave the blueprints to Kage and am now on my way back to the Liberation Army hideout. For some reason I have Pahn in my party instead of Cleo. This is really weird.
Also, when I return to find the inkeeper dead, my characters appear on the screen and Cleo isn't there. My game freezes because Cleo isn't there to deliver dialogue. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I really don't want to have to start a new game. |

That just links me to Suikoden Discussion. What did you mean? Do you know how to fix my problem? |

DUDE!
You originally posted this in the community forums, and he was trying to tell you that this topic belonged in the Suikoden Forums. For someone who posts so much, you should be a little more aware of what you're doing. We like people who post, but NOT people who post without thinking.
As for your problem, I'm sorry, but I haven't the faintest clue what is going on. Suikoden games are known to be buggy when brought over to the US, so I'm wouldn't be suprised if this is just a glitch of some sort. _________________

Sorry.
I guess I'll just start over. This glitch is really weird. |

We shoulda never let him out of Zexen! So sorry everybody he'll be severly punished.
On topic, I suggest starting over and maybe cleaning your disc. Also are you still playing it on a Playstation 2 or using a gameshark? Because those two things can really screw up a suikoden game. _________________ Be awed by our prowess!

I told you, use the freezer trick. It works wonders.
Surprisingly, I haven't had many problems with Suikoden I, and this is certainly a problem of which I have not previously heard. |

What on earth is the freezer trick?
I can't say that I've had those problems like that with Suiko I. Sorry. Though I'm not sure if it would correct it, perhaps there's a gameshark code or the like out there where you put Cleo back in your party where she's supposed to be? _________________

You stick a game in a plastic baggy and leave it in the freezer for 10 minutes and it fixes alot of glitches and freeze points in a game. I have no idea why. _________________ Be awed by our prowess!

I didn't use a gameshark. I don't have one. I am on a PS2 though. That's probably it. I started over and am way past that point in my new game. It was just such a shock to see Pahn in my party.
Oh, and Marshmallow, you told me to use the freezer trick for my wacked up Suikoden II game. Suiokden games just hate me. :( |

I've already posted on my problem with a similar glitch from Suikoden I. You can find it in the "dumbest death" thread in the Game and Anime Forum. (Nice Place for it huh? I know.. I know)
What happened to me was that I saved and when I reloaded everyone in my party was Gremio. There was no main character on the screen. Of course there's more to it, but if you're really interested you should check out that thread. Let me link you...
http://www.suikox.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2764&postdays=0&postorder=a sc&start=15&sid=4b79fb9dddff9b7436dfcb5e3672dbc6
The freezer trick did not work and I had to restart.
My question is... Did you save in-between the time you had Cleo and the time you had Pahn?? I think that Suikoden 1 likes to save corrupted data when it's played on a PS2. I think I read that on someone's private site somewhere. _________________

Yes, UberYuber, it added Pahn to my party after saving at the Saraday inn. I had my level 3 Pahn with no equipment and he was KOd because that's how I left him when he left my party.
Your glitch sounds pretty weird, but similar to mine. |

At this point I've probably had more playthroughs of Suikoden I on the PS2 than I did on the PSX, and never once had a glitch like this happen. Is this really that common? |

This glitch isn't common at all I think, it only happened to me once out of my numerous Suikoden I games. It happened when Pahn replaced Gremio when the hideout was about to be raided. There was nothing I could do because it happened again and again in that file even after I load the game when I still had Gremio in it, it would still automatically change Gremio into Pahn. It screwed the game. You can only restart from the beginning to fix this problem or probably an older save might help. _________________
