Pictures at the Training room (Suikoden IV)

I couldn't find a topic about this, but perhaps the words I was searching for were choosen badly. Well, could anybody explain to me who the pictures in the training room display? I am talking about the pictures high at the reverse side of the room in which Reinhard is waiting for you in Suikoden IV. They don't look like programmers. Are they famous warriors?

Well, they are high on the board the side across the room. When you enter the room, it has to be right. Well, if this topic exists, please colse it.
However, they look like Samurai, but since most pictures of this kind that display Japanese loooking persons seem to me to be samurai it doesn't have to say much...

There was a topic and a screenshot of this a while ago. If I remember correctly they are Japanese military figures from various periods of time.

Yeah, it does kinda ruin Suikoden's consistency. The series never did anything like that before. Sure, a few characters were based on Earth figures and Earth languages are sometimes used (look at Tuta's clothes in Suikoden 2), but they never just slapped pictures of Earth people straight into the game.

Suikoden 4 also used a character (Oleg) from another video game.

aka Shadow of Memories? I never played it, but I just learned that the Hero is called Eike... Well, there is a man called Oleg as film producer, which would of course suit Suikoden's Oleg, but I haven't seen any picture of him to prve that. Thanks, Axiose.
