I went to another show last night. September may have set a new record for me. Seven concerts in one month!

I saw GWAR for the fourth time today and moshed my way up to the third or fourth row. Good times. Cradle headlined, but they weren't terrible. For all the awesome black metal bands I'll finally be seeing in the next few months I can no longer complain that they're the only one that tours here. They're better than Mayhem, anyway.

Surprise surprise, I went to another concert. This one was cool in that I'd heard all but one of the bands before hand. I've been in to HORSE the band and fairly familiar with Between the Buried and Me for years. The End and Animosity I'd at least heard before, granted the former blows. Scale the Summit, the semi-local openers (they're from Houston) were the second best band of the night after HORSE.

Holy shit. One of the best gigs of my life tonight, and I have a black eye and practically immobile right arm to show for it. I moshed my balls off for an hour and a half in a big troll costume. I'll post about it in the review thread after I get some sleep.

Wooh, I followed Finntroll to Houston for another good show and at this point look so beat up I'm embarrassed to go out in public. Erm, great gig though. Two local black metal acts opened, both of which were really good:

Saw Boris for the second time - absolutely breathtaking. This is finite proof that the Japanese will one day rule the world if every I've heard one.

Only one band played at the gig I went to tonight, but they're one of the greatest acts in the entire world. Seriously. I've seen Cracker twice now and hardly any other band holds a candle. I'll probably drive up to Austin Friday to see them again.

I went to see Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, Depeche Mode, Velvet Revolver and many bands from around here you won't know so... what the heck!

I could have seen the Stones but I chose not to, I don't think I really like them.

I don't go to shows as much anymore. Not enough time, and bands don't often tour in the winter.
