In his defense he was referred to as a male in Suikoden 2 and he was pretty young so he wouldn't have looked like a man anyway. If he did, I would be worried.

When I first played Suikoden II I thought Tuta was a girl and Tomo was a boy. Mostly cause of their facial features, their clothing, and just the way they seemed to act.
