The next suikoden what platform should it be on?

The most logical awnser is the ps3

But I'm agianst that

I would prefer a PSP version because you can do somuch with it
They could even add multiplayer games like war's as in suikoden I and II
Or like the sea battles in suikodenIV?

The psp is my choice dont know how much it will be sold or if it's ever going to happen like in a million years that a great rpg will be releasd on it but still i woul to hear what you all have to say :D .

I think they should re-make the first two games and put them on the DS or PSP, preferably the DS. They should fix the translation errors and maybe add a few extra things like 3 rune slots in Suikoden I. That would be perfect because then more people would get to play the first two games.

And you should really put a "other" option on your polls.

If you are all wondering then YEAH!!! I am the fool that chose the Xbox hahaha but do you really want to know why? because there was one particular option cut from the list... 'all' but Xbox was the most different and shows that it is not only on the playstation platform so heh...

no matter what the suikoden series will not be on any other platform other than Sony's stuff... why? because Konami signed a eal with Sony's playstation... just like well... have you seen Final Fantasy on the Xbox? no because these games are exclusive to the playstation only... but yeah one can imagine hahaha...

anywho... I would prefer the suikoden series to continue on the playstation three... reason? reason being that the portable playstation has been said that it is only capable of being a miniture and handheld playstation two... equaling the playstation two in most ways. but the playstation three... that is like a thousand times more than just a handheld and could improve the suikoden series massively... enough said for now

Honestly, if suikoden any version of suikoden goes to X-box I"m renouncing my love for it and blowing up the konami building along with myself. Sorry if there are any X-box fans out there but I've hated it with a passion, even though I do play halo 2 sometimes, with friends but myself I do not own a x-box. I've never wanted one and never will. However Blade Maste is right, Ps3 is the logical choice. Advance the graffics and lengthen the story line :), that goal could be acheived easyist with ps3.

I voted for PS2 not because of performance issues or game options, but simply because i would like Suikoden 5 to come out sooner rather than later. And since i am thinking that the PS3 will not be out for some time now i kinda don't want to wait that long. Although logic tells me it probably would take that long for a new Suikoden to be finalized and translated for the US.

I do want it to stay on the playstation console though. No switching to X-box or gamecube or anything crazy like that.

Yeah PS2 its probably or maybe the best platform for the next Suiko to be in.Specially knowing the PS3 release date and the fact that if they make a Suikoden game for PS3 they are gonna be worried just about the graphics,and for an RPG like Suiko,thats bad.

I guess it depends on how quickly it gets developed. I chose PS2 assuming the rumors I heard a number of months ago that S5 was in development in parallel with S4. In that case there'd be plenty of time to release it before the PS3 came out. (Early 2006) A more plausible scenario is that it will come out on the PS3 within a year of its launch, assuming the current release schedule of Suikoden holds and the PS3 is released in 2006. (late 2006, early 2007)

Yeah PS3 is not coming out for some time. I still love my PS2 (even though I'm all for technological advancement!!) But the thing is, before I buy S5, if it comes out for PS3, I have to buy PS3. That means I have to save the millions of dollars it will cost. I usually like to wait until some place has a great deal (like around christmastime). I don't believe in regular price. So that means more waiting!!!! And I also have to figure out if I want it moded (more $$$). *sighs* I guess that's the price you have to pay! (bad pun, sorry)

So, in the end, it all depends on when S5 is released. I still chose PS2.

Why do i think that, drummsta pretty much explained it for me. The PS3 i believe won't be released that soon. and also i am hoping that Suikoden V will be released prior to the release of the new successor of the video game platform king.

Have a feeling that this might be the last one, though...

My Signs point to PS3.

looks like they are going for 2 games per system, much like Final Fantasy goes with 3 games per system.

also, it'll be about 3 years before S5 is released-

S1- 1996
S2- 1999
S3- 2002
S4- 2005
S5- 2008

By then, the PS2 will be dying off, and the PS3 will have started to rise to presence.

PS1- 1995-2002(think some minor games no one cares about come out here and there around then)
PS2- 2000-2007(My prediction, it will then start to die off, with a few minor games coming out)

PS3 is expected to be out in 2005/2006, been awhile since I checked...

But i have to admit, Spus has put a pretty basic and logical pattern on the releases for the Suikoden games. Blast it all!

But there is always a chance that the pattern can be broken. To a closer date! Yeah!

I am hoping it will come out on Playstation 2 and soon.

I purchased IV in hopes that it would feed my Suikoden addiction for a year at least like the others have, but it hasn't so the sooner the better for number 5.

I'm hoping it will be on the PS3. The bits of technology I have seen for it are absolutely amazing and it should revolutionize the amount of computing power put into a game console until now..
It might even be the end of computers as we know them for a new technology.
