If that were the case, I'd be prepared to wait, honestly, even as much as it would kill me inside. :P |

You mean if it had graphics similar to III-V? No chance in hell. Unless it was on Wii. |
Well, look at MGS4. It looks pretty much the same as MGS3, just a little more detailed. So Suikoden VI could keep the style pretty much the same, but with more detail. Even Wii has been estimated at least twice as powerful as PlayStation 2, so whatever system they put it on, it could look stylistically similar but a little more refined. Sharper and fuller. But I'd also want them to do something about the load times.
Even more than that, I just hope they announce something more soon. This uncertainty about the game and the platform is annoying. |

MGS4's graphics are much better, those trailers you were watching were in-game not an FMV cutscene or something. The new generation of consoles can go much further than the older ones, besides, graphics are the only thing that cause a strain on console hardware. |

I personally hope this game takes place in Zelant or Kanakan because this are places I'd really like to know more about... I mean you learn a little bit about Kanakan about we don't jack about Zelant so it would be cool have a game set there. _________________ IN AMERICA! |

A year went by between the Suikoden III announcement and any actual follow-up. Be patient. |

Hmm... What if Suikoden VI is on DS or PSP?
If Dragon Quest IX goes to DS, anything can happen.
I own the DS and I'm pretty happy with its specs. But PSP already got Suiko I°II in Japan. I'd like to see Suiko VI on PSP: it can easily replicate a low-poly engine like Suiko V had. By keeping the specs low (due to portable nature), they could focus on the script and dialogues, which really make or break a Suiko game. Plus, PSP would guarantee a better audio than DS.
Would you be upset to see your favorite rpg franchise switching to handhelds? Castlevania is my favorite series and it feels like it has been on handhelds forever... _________________ my Suikoden collection |

I'd be pretty mad if the SVI went on handheld. A down-grade on graphics just before they started getting better would be poo-ish. _________________ "...." - Any silent Hero

Not likely. Suikoden isnt known enough to be profitable on a handheld system - traditionally, handheld systems are considered "inferior" and are thus overlooked. Suikoden is already being overlooked plenty, so Konami isnt going to want to hide it any more than it is already. _________________

Curse Konami if Suikoden come in a handheld before console. I like it better in the console. If they want to remake it like Suikoden 1 and 2 in PSP, it doesn't matter. At least me (and some others) have play it. :D .
PC is better than console, console is better than handheld console. And it even better if everythings is free. :D <-- although that will never happen _________________ What is this......? |

I wouldn'd mind if Suikoden VI came for a handheld. The DS is doing great in Japan and DS games are more times than not the big sellers and we all know that Suikoden makes most of its money in Japan anyway. So it could be good for the franchise. And since I don't care the slightest about the series having state-of-the-art graphics or not, make it 2D for all I care, I don't really see any mayor problem with it.
And I'm not worried by the quiet. The game is probably far from finished and I'm not expecting anything before TGS at the earliest. It might even take 'til TGS next year before we get anything solid. Until then I'm comfy. |

Honestly, why would Suikoden be on a handheld? It's a laughable idea at best. There's no reason for them to put it there and no possibility of it, why are we even discussing such things? _________________

Because handheld consoles, and NDS in particular, are the most successful consoles in Japan at the moment and if SquareEnix can relocate the main series of Japan's most popular RPG franchise to a handheld, why can't Konami. |
