I understand how you feel... well about summiting... Ihave photoshop CS... but that ain't good enough. I want Illustrator! as it is vector based and photoshop is bitmap based... plus I dont have time tomorrow or the day after that.... I have college and right now... well I'm researching for reference whilst I spend time in here...

*Edit- I have drawn a 25 minuets drag piece... and will scan it soon... doubt it'll be a runner up though...)

okay... I finally got my scanner working and decided to tune things up a little bit... so I spent a further... ten minutes on the drawing/ sketch/ concept... I hope it's alright in a anime like form... well... all I have to do now is sign myself into this competition right?

I was going to do all that cropping and cutting and pasting stuff... but I see that it's been done a lot already... so a quick sketch to e different from the rest... :)

Damn JNX....that isn't half bad, especially for a quick drawing. Good work there. You got the ladies part pretty spot on. If you took some more time for this you could have won first place. :P

Well, the time has come for the festival to draw to an end and for me to announce the winners of the competition! I was a little disappointed with the few entries I had submitted but overall the quality of what WAS submitted was great and I think the entrants deserve their prizes even if there was very little competition!

[Excuse the double-post but it's neater to administer the announcement of winners as a seperate post]

Anyway the judges (aka me) have been conferring and they have finally reached a verdict! The winners of the prizes in each category are:

Category 1: Best Suikoden Character in Drag
Winner- JNX from the Holy Queendom of Harmonia's entry "Flikna & Viklie"!
I really liked this image, the sketch itself is quite well done, plus it is more than just a simple image splice.
Prize- 150 Honour Points

Runner Up- Sai Fujiwara from the Holy Queendom of Harmonia's entry "Nash's Undocumented Adventures"
I liked this image because it was very smooth and Nash's head almost looks like it DOES fit on Estella's body. I also chose this image as runner up because Estella's body is somewhat outrageous and gaudy and looks although it might fit in at less conservative pride parade.
Prize- 50 Honour Points

Category 2: Best Suikox Member in Drag
Winner- Schala from Jowston's "Schala Nicole Jameson"
Although not entirely convincing I found this entry extremely funny and think Schala looks absolutely GORGEOUS with breasts; the contrast between the drag look and regular look is quite amazing.
Prize- 750 Soldiers

Runner Up- Highland's love thy conrad's entry of "Can't Touch That, Ladies!"
It may seem like I only chose this entry because it was the only other one in this category but I sincerely thought this entry deserves to be runner up! It is an easy thing for a guy to look like a girl- just add breasts, but for a girl to convincingly pull off a masculine appearance without it looking plain overdone is very impressive.
Prize- 250 Soldiers

Category 3: Special Category
Winner- Bugg from Jowston's "Black Fang, the Archangel of Drag of the Holy Queendom of Harmonia"
This entry was simply awesome, it fit in totally with the spirit of the Drag Festival and is a really well done image. I really can't find a single negative with the image and honestly think it deserves more than just 500 soldiers, hence the prize increase!
Prize- 1000 Soldiers

Runner Up- Sai Fujiwara from the Holy Queendom of Harmonia's entry, "Sephiroth's "Secret Training Session" with Cloud"
Personally I'm a big fan of anything that mocks the Series That Shall Not Be Named, especially the much overhyped 7th installment. Sephiroth dressed up like Jeane is really quite gorgeous.
Prize- 100 Honour Points

With that I'd like to congratulate everyone that did participate in the Annual Drag Festival, whether by submitting an entry or just by enjoying the festivities in general and being a good sport about it. I would also like to thank all the Harmonians for tolerating what I know some considered an absolutely ridiculous idea. I hope everyone enjoyed it, though and with that being said I would like to officially close the festival, I hope it can be even bigger and better next January![/i]
