Wow! I liked the trailer clip I just downloaded. I still can't believe it was actually a movie at first. I really can't wait for the DVD to be released. The movie's probably going to be interesting just like in the game itself. |

Eh what do you mean by that Cathy?
Advent Children was always a movie as far as I know, are you talking about the Final Fantasy VII PS3 technical demo?
That for now is nothing more than a demo made in a short amount of time for Sony's Press Conference at E3.
Well the countdown for the DVD gets close every moment, from what I have seen so far and despite what you're used to I advice to see the movie with subtitles, is just that things like that aren't meant to be dubbed. _________________ "I am ye who walks his own path and thus I walk alone" |

Arenegeth, during the beginning when I first heard about it, I thought it was a game. Later on, I realized it was a movie and I'll take your advice on seeing the movie with the subtitles. |

FFVII: Advent Children Comes Home For the Holidays
U.S. release delayed until November.
It's that time of the month again: Today, Electronic Gaming Monthly subscribers will begin finding the latest issue (October, #196) stuffed into their mail slots. Along with the usual informative previews, controversial reviews, and ads for cell phone wallpaper, the issue boasts a massive cover story of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII project, featuring in-depth information on the multiple FFVII spin-offs headed your way.
You'll have to pick up the issue for the full scoop, but here's a bit of sobering news: Contrary to previous reports, the full-length CG motion picture FFVII: Advent Children will not be launching stateside simultaneously with its Japanese counterpart on September 13th. Instead, Sony Pictures plans a U.S. release on both UMD and 2-disc "Special Edition" DVD this "holiday season." What does that mean, exactly? Probably a mid-to-late November release, as the publisher wants to get those lucrative day-after-Thanksgiving "Black Friday" sales.
No official theatrical release is planned, although Square Enix has hinted at the possibility of one-off promotional events in major markets. We'll keep you posted.
Oh, and the 2-disc DVD will feature some trailers, bonus features, and behind-the-scenes stuff, but not that cool 'Last Order' anime short that's included in the ridiculously expensive $300 Japanese limited edition. Sucks to be us! |
Well it seems that my American friends must wait a bit more, personally I don't care and if you're really into Final Fantasy neither should you and just get the Japanese version, honestly the subtitles will be better of whatever dub Square comes up with.

Figures that the US date was pushed back. Nothing like sales to get in between companies and their fans. Screw the people, make us even more ridiculously rich! _________________ "Into battle we ride

Yikes! Now, it's delayed. Oh man, this'd gonna be a very long wait since I (like everyone else) had to be patient a bit and had to wait. |

I wouldn't worry about Last Order. It will make its way to the US in one form or another. _________________

Question, not sure if its been answered on another page, I've just been skimming. Is this movie going to be released on both the PSP and DVD. I know 100% its out on PSP, but haven't heard anything concrete on a DVD release...I don't really want to watch a full movie on that small screen while at home, and PSPs are still working their ways into homes. If it is on DVD, is it being released the same time or after the PSP version comes out? _________________

Read this thread for more info, especially the last couple of pages... _________________ "I am ye who walks his own path and thus I walk alone" |

That looks really nice, can't wait until it comes out (And this is the only FF7 Spin-off I can't wait to come out >_>) |
Ditto. Yeah, there's that Dirge of Cerberus, and other spin-off games. But the only one that i'm seriously interested in is Advent's Children.
Now all i gott do is wait to get a PSP. *twiddles thumbs* _________________ Guardian of Greenhill & Devoted Protector of Oulan

I noticed that the Japan release was still the same date, that is on the September 14, I think. I had lots of screenshots of this upcoming movie and they're awesome. Oh well, I don't care if it's delayed now. At least, it's going to be released someday on the holiday season but I still hoped that the usual date for UK and US never change that was on the September 13. |
