Your oppinions on Bad A**ses of the Suikoden Series

*sigh* so true, so true...I mean come on Yuber even has a _braid_ in S3! And we all know that only pansies wear braids. Even if he does have the ability to make villages spontaneously combust and can teleport...he only uses those things to run away like a pansy! Pesmerga is the real mans man out of the two...even if he does have trouble finding places, and that just shows he's too manly to ask for directions :P
As for Leon...well I have to agree that he be pretty manly...just not as manly as Kenji or Hallec...mmm, Hallec. Now _THAT_ is a prime example of manlyness :mrgreen:

Geddoe redefined the word "badass" for me.

Physical and magic prowess, good black outfit and hair, right eyepatch (nothing is more badass than losing the right eye!), perfect attitude/personality. He doesn't lose his cool even after losing his True Rune.

Some may say he doesn't talk at all, but then again pick him as the Flame Champion and he makes Luc look like a poor ignorant child before the last battle. What an eloquency. Not to mention one of the best Suikoden scenes ever, THE punch. Geddoe is overpowered in all senses and he'd eat any other "badass" for lunch any day.

Im sorry to tell everyone this, but according to my sources *Futch browses through his "Macho Guide* wearing a Cape automatically disqualifyes anyone who tries to be a macho...

So Humphrey would have to be left out :cry:

Leonardo would also be left out too, because he wears a red wig, this is totally unacceptable, because one must deal with his baldnees like a real man! (Im not bald yet people *laugh*)

So in my humble opinion, the most badarse character of all of the Suikoden world has to be mister Varkas (he is not wearing a cape people, that is a blanket, completely different if I may add)

He uses an Axe as his weapon of choice, the biggest bad arse weapon ever invented, and also a tiny detail everyone has seemed to forgot, he has a moustache people!, you can't get any mainlier than that may I tell ya!... Well actually it is possible, because in Suikoden 2, he has the guts to accompany you across all of the Toran republic!

And now im going to quote what he says to hero in Suikoden 2 when he dares to "try" entering the Toran Replublic without his glorious escort:

"Ha, did you thought you could ramble accross my homeland kid?, well not on MY shift I tell ya!! "

Man, Varkas, you rock so much I wish you were my dad....

But i would also put Ayame as a prime example of a badass. the typical cold blooded killer. And her Shrike Rune amplifies that! She could kick that rip-off Watari in his boney old behind! Make me waste 100,000 potch, will you?! (kick)

And Guillaume...!!!...not only is he "bad", but he's also an "ass". emphasis on both seperately! What's worse then being a pedophile LoL.

How is it, in a series well-known for it's strong female characters, that we've managed to get well into page 2 and not had a single female mentioned yet?

I certainly think Lorelai is a bad ass. She's got her eyes on the prize, and she's willing to knock off any competition that comes near her for it. She's just as bad-ass as Killey is; possibly more so since unlike Killey, she seems to want Sindar artifacts for her own gain. She locked the guy up in a dungeon for years - that's pretty badassed.

Oulan, too, is a bad-ass, I think. Though she cares more about people, she clearly can get people to put up or shut up and she's a powerful character in her own right.

Queen is a bit of a badass, I think. She's strong, she's confident, and she's rather strong in battle.

Lucia, too; for the same reasons as Queen, mostly, though Lucia is also a taunter and a more than capable leader.

Ummm...as far as female badarses go...I think I'm gonna have'ta agree on Ayame...because not only is she a ninja, she's a _cool_ ninja...she's got that extra part of ninja-ness 8) (I have no idea what I'm talking about)

I think Cecile would be a pretty tough female badarse, not only is she a tax collector, she's a very scary tax collector.

Hmmm.. Sydonia qualifies as a 'badass' in my opinion. He's just so unbothered about being captured and tortured and when you come to rescue him he frees himself, whilst hinting he could have done it all along except he didn't want to leave his pal Varkas. Plus he has big manga-ish hair and only says about 10 words in the entire game (apart from 'heh...' anyway).

Shame he doesn't really have much of a role afterwards....

I would definately agree with people on Varkas and Sydonia. But i have to add my good man Gijimu. His axes, and banditness ( I know thats not a word :wink: ) just make him such a good canidate.
