Love Hina in 36 hours

i just finished watching Love Hina. Took me two days to (download) and watch the whole series. and now i feel sick. as far as i'm concerned, i don't want to see Naru, Keitaro, or hot springs ever again.......

it wasn't horrible or anything in my opinion, it was just too much too soon. in a word.... fanservice.

as fascinating as this was to read, it would be much more helpful to others if you'd state why it was such a waste of time, rather than just say 'i feel sick, blah blah...'

if you are going to post something, make sure it's worth the space; this barely qualifies. if you don't back it up with some solid reasons, it will be closed, based on its nothingness.

well, for one reason, i felt it was a little rushed. not only that, it wasn't as funny as the manga. i mean, yeah, there were some funny scenees that could only be humerous if it were animated, but the anime was really just a bunch of bare skin. and to tell the truth, i felt a little embarassed to watch it. i say, more plot, less skin. (now i know someone's going to disagree with that)

i'd have to agree; if skin is the only strong content, then it's pointless-if someone really needs flesh that badly, go buy ani-porn. *perverts*

i'm finding that a good deal of manga to animes don't seem to work well-one piece, while funny, just didn't have the same feel to it and the voice for monkey d. luffy was so annoying. *like nails on a chalkboard annoying.*

The manga is very good, as it have some of the best artwork IMO, and the story itself is very entertaining, not natural, but still nice. There's some things I don't like about the anime, like the character design. Am I the only one that think that there's little difference in the face design for every character? for example, in the anime they tend to make Naru a bit fatter and chubbier, which isn't very nice, and while Horie Yui is actually a very good voice actress (like in fruit basket), I don't think she fit my description of Naru. And you're right, the skin are too much over-exposed. I don't see it as a problem though, as I can enjoy the storyline of some 17+ game like Crescendo and Kango Shicyauzo 1&2 without feeling disgusted or anything, but I know some people that take the 'Skin' thing into consideration. The things I like about the anime? some of the soundtracks are pretty nice, I like the naru version of "Be for you, be for me" (the ending theme for 'Love Hina Again'.

Some manga can be pretty bad when it made into anime, and I agree with syb that One Piece is not very good when it made to anime. The fun part is stiill there but there's too much episode that actually is not in the manga and some of it is not so good (It kinda remind me of the super-long Dragon Ball anime). And luffy's voice is bad. I was expecting something carefree but what I got is really a monkey voice. But of course there's still some manga-based anime that is well-made. Lupin III and chobits are some example IMO, as well as fruit basket.

Now, when an anime was made into manga, the result are usually...pathetic. I'll take an example of Rahxephon manga. Not only that the character designs are so different, if you read the manga after watching the anime, you'll find that the story is so much different, like they create a whole new storyline for it. Another bad example of anime-based manga is the gundam seed manga, just try to read it and you'll see what I mean (of course, you must watch the anime first)

yes, the manga is better; for some reason, it just has a better feel to it-the characters aren't changed for the sake of american tastes, nor do you have the crappy voiceovers *shudders.*

it's worth a try, plus it's one of the cheaper mangas at $8 *us* a book.

I hate Love Hina, no matter what form it's in. It's stupid and pointless. Some dumbass guy is surrounded by hella pretty chicks... yeah, that's just some guy service thing. >_>

I liked it better when it was called Tenchi Muyo and featured aliens from outer space, magic girls, and an incredibly cute mascot. (Though turtles are awful cute.)

(Besides, Tenchi Muyo has Washu. <3)

Ah, non, Kimagure Orange Road was better.....to me. It's pretty cheesy, but I like it.

As far as harem animes go, Love Hina is not too bad. Out of all the "guy suronded by chicks" anime I've seen, Love Hina is the only one I could tollerate, mainly because it has more going for it than just T&A and parts of it are genuinely funny.

I thought this anime was pretty boring too! I laughed the first few times Keitaro was beaten and wrongfully accused of being a perv but after that...meh. I don't know where all the hype surrounding it came from. My cousin said it was good so it's the only anime I own. Doesn't that suck? I've seen every episode except for the last. Me and my cuz had a marathon type thing (kinda like you badguy from Tron), and I fell asleep during the last episode. Since then I've been too lazy to watch it.
