Wow, this sounds like the dumbest idea I have ever heard. I am really skeptical this will turn out any good. I like the idea of playing as DC characters in a fighting game,but I think MK had some of the worst fighting engines in fighting games and focus more on ultra violence and absurdity over gameplay. I don't see how that style can mesh with DC. _________________ "There is no normal life, there's just life. Now get on with it" |

It looks like it'll be using the MK engine, unlike what we've seen in other fighting games that included DC characters. It seems awkward to me though. |

Please don't remind me... looking to be the first MK game I'll be sitting out.
MK=good
DC=good
MK v. DC=horrible crap in the making
Weird how that works? My expectations of a Mortal Kombat has never been lower. _________________

Ehhh. Some things just don't mix.
And what's the point of making it MORTAL Kombat if they're going to remove the fatalities? Why do they think anyone even played the games in the first place?
To expose Johnny Cage's pretty spinal column to broad daylight...

Exactly. This is catering to DC fans who will be up in arms if their beloved Superman were to behead someone. So just piss off the Mortal Kombat fans instead? Brilliant. This won't be the first MK I haven't been all that pleased with. Concerning PS2-era, I liked Deadly Alliance and Armageddon, but found Deception (Konquest mode, in particular) to be extremely tedious. Coupled with the fact that I only liked about a 3rd of that particular roster, that was the clincher. Having said that, I at least looked forward to Deception. I'm not looking forward to this. |

Apparently the old fighting engine has been completely scrapped. How this new one plays and whether or not it sticks is anyone's guess. |

Well, I'm no gigantic DC or Mortal Kombat fan, though I like both quite a bit. I'm actually quite interested in seeing how this thing turns out. In my opinion it's gonna be really hit or miss.
I'll be keeping an eye out on this game for sure. |

And its gonna do exactly what its namesake implies, implode horribly and give off a lot of various gasses and chunky bits.
They had precedence with the various incarnations of the Capcom & Marvel crossovers, and if it remains that MK is going to be "PG'd" then already it's like they want to flop both franchises game wise. _________________

Makes one wonder if they did keep fatalities in what would the DC characters' fatality moves be. I can see Superman using his heat vision to slice an opponent into chunks. Batman would be the iffy one since he never really actively killed anyone. _________________

I can't believe there's no fatalities. That's retarded. It's all MK had going for it. _________________ "Into battle we ride

Uhhhhh....wouldn't Superman win every battle? He's nigh invincible, stronger than anyone else, can fly, is faster than anyone else, etc. No Mortal Kombat character would stand a chance. _________________

Perhaps something in the storyline will cause the characters to be on an even playing field, so to speak. Then again, Mortal Kombat games are notorious for not really following any kind of logic as it pertains to mismatches. I mean, look at Johnny Cage. He's a movie star who's a skilled martial artist, but can you seriously see him taking down a guy like Onaga? Goro? Any of those big monster types? I sure can't, but in MK, he can and does. Suspension of disbelief, my friends. |
