They also claim that Kuromimi's nickname is Black Ears, but this is never mentioned in-game (Kuromimi means Black Ears in Japanese or Chinese or something, I was told, but I cannot confirm). |
Actually, in the NA booklet, Kuromimi is listed as Black Ears in the partial tablet thing. _________________ The immortal chickens shall rule the world!! |

That's what I'm saying. The booklet is outright wrong. The name "Black Ears" is never used in the game itself, it's only in the booklet. _________________

It's a real bad literal translation, as you said, just to confirm it. The kanji would be read Kuromimi, which is what we get in the localisation, but the literal translation would indeed be Black (Kuro) Ears (Mimi). It seems that someone only caught it at the last minute, which they didn't even do with the Star Dragon/Zodiac Sword. _________________ One day, I shall come back. Yes, we shall all come back. I believe Ronnie Bell referred to Mose as Pops, actually, although maybe I'm just remembering incorrectly. _________________

I think you're remembering incorrectly. I've played Suikoden 1 so much I could play it in my sleep, and no one calls anyone else Pops. _________________

Actually I have to agree with True Perception. When you first show up and Ledon and Kessler and Ronnie Bell are out front. After their little scene Ronnie says "Pops is in the back" _________________ Be awed by our prowess!
