My country... being Catholic and all, is really worried about he Pope as well. But i guess it would be best that they did announce it earlier. Then we would be ready if need be.
I hope that the Pope will bring our wishes to the Lord... I guess i'm just emotional right now... Oh well... There's nothing we can do about it right now... _________________

...well, at least he won't have to suffer anymore, y'know? The last few years for him looked really rough, I was kinda depressed looking at it...but he trudged through it. We're all going to die some day, and I guess it's his time. All that can be done now is to wish him the best.
And if this thread gets out of hand, you can lock it if you wish. However, so far there's nothing that bad going on here, some slight differences of opinion and not much else. _________________

Well, if there is a God up there, he's with him now...
At least he didn't suffer.
Oh, and that's a great piece SARSadmin...this one's my personal favorite, it's funny and it shows how multicultural he was.

Yeah I know, I was wondering if I should include that one in the collage as well, but the dimensions didn't quite work. |

I don't know why people tend to point out hypocrisy in cases like these, when we're suppose to be discussing something totally different as in, the wonderful things that he did, and the life that he led. I guess it just goes to show you that we're all human, we're all hypocrites, but that doesn't make us awful people. When you point out the errors of the Pope's life, do you look at yourself? How much money do you have, that you can afford to give away to homeless people? If you're so much of a humanitarian, as you imply, what is the name of your organization, where you help the hopeless, get people off of the street, etc etc? Do you *really* need that computer that you're visiting Suikox on? I'm sure that, to help the world, one doesn't need to be visiting forums and debating away at how much of a hypocrite a great and now deceased man was. We can all afford to be helping out in a soup kitchen, and donating to charities, and saving peoples lives, but most of us don't really do that. Instead, we voice our complaints about hypocrisy among great world leaders, and how they really weren't great at all...
That wasn't aimed at you, John Layfield, because I respect your position and see where you're coming from, and why you feel the way you do. That was just my little rant of the day, because I started a similar thread elsewhere and got trolled on by people who ignored the thread topic and took it upon themselves to bash religion in general, and remind all of us how much the Pope apparently "sucked". (whew, run on sentence!) I just don't understand how people can just point out another person's hypocrisy when they don't acknowledge their own. It just bugs me...
On another note, i commend you for not wording your posts in other ways, because it's a touchy topic. But I suppose we all need to voice our opinions, don't we? :D
Anyway, God bless the man. I have never really understood him the way many other believers have, but I do respect their loss and sympathize. Rest in peace. |

Aw, man... at least he's not in pain anymore and it's far more preferable than if he was hooked to a pile of machines in a hospital bed doing his breathing for him.
I'll miss him. _________________ One day, I shall come back. Yes, we shall all come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. |

And as John Layfield said at least he is not suffering anymore, or having a machine do all the breathing for him.
And that is a great collage SARSadmin _________________

Despite not being a member of the Catholic sect of Christianity, I've always seen the Pope as an inspirational figure, due to his (in my opinion) complete "goodness". I've always wished I were able to love everybody the way he did. Regardless of anyone's individual faiths, I'm sure he'll be dearly missed around the world. |

Yes it is truly sad about the loss of John Paul II. I am not really a religious person by any means, but I am smart enough to realize the loss of a great man. I have deep respect for him and am sorry we had to lose him. But yes as everyone else has mentioned, he is now at peace. My condolences to anyone who is deeply affected by his passing. I don't know what more to say and hope my post was written well enough. _________________ “Firbolgs die with honor,” Morten explained as the logs beneath Tavis began to burn. “We don’t beg for mercy. Yes I feel the same way, King Razor. Oh and SARSadmin, as the others have said that was a nice effort you put into your collage. I am sure everyone here appreciates it. And you have nothing to worry about, your collage is fine and perfect the way it is. I honestly like the Pope as a person, he was a genuine nice guy, who wanted things to be better, but he's 'only' a religious leader, he changed nothing.

You do know that the Pope is a very influential man and anything that he says some people might follow his word and do something different then what they normally would of. |
