I was wondering what are the best online translating features that I could add to the "Universal Suikoden Topic Index".
The USTI can be found here

Thank You. |

Templeton already has that web site in his links. :P To be honest, translation reliability on the internet greatly depends on which languages you want converted. Japanese for example, has a very bad success ratio for English on the internet, while something like German fares better. |

Google has a translator here: http://www.google.com/language_tools
It works about as well as any other machine translator on the net. (ie, not that well. :*laugh*: ) _________________

Polish dosen't work to well either, I tryed it and some words translate, some don't have a translation and the syntax just comes out weird. _________________ few runes short of a set of 27

If I am only searching for a sinlge word or phrase, I usually use www.leo.org
It is in German, unfortunately, but it is pretty useful to me. _________________

I'll be using these translators to translate foriegn suikoden posts inorder to arcive them into the universal archive. Also, if someone can find an Indonesian to English translator it would help me alot.

I have to warn you that these online translators can be (and usually are) WILDLY innaccurate. I've read some of the "translations" from english to french and english to japanese these kinds of things produce and they really are bad news.
It's much, much better to either learn the language yourself or find someone who speaks it...! _________________

Same here. Once I wanted to see just how accurate freetranslation.com was and typed something in English and got something WAAY OFF in its supposed Spanish form. The same thing happened for French. I blame it heavily on the different grammar rules. They kept trying to match word for word and while they translated each word correctly, the grammar and structure was way off and didn't make any sense.
These sites are good if you're searching for single words but if you're trying to translate full sentences or large chunks, it gets very bad.
Good luck! _________________ For the first time I feel as though I am reborn
