heres one thrown back out
Four men sat down to play.
They played all night ‘till break of day.
They played for gold and not for fun,
With separate scores for everyone.
When they came to square accounts,
They all had made quite fair amounts.
Can you the paradox explain:
If no one lost, how could all gain? _________________ When you feel your life ain?t worth living
You?ve got to stand up and
Take a look around you then a look way up to the sky.
And when your deepest thoughts are broken,
Keep on dreaming boy, cause when you stop dreamin? it?s time to die. |

right on the nose
and my wife was just looking over my shoulder and informs me I was wrong on the opal and onyx thing, she says she has heard it before and the answer is salt and pepper, I would have never thought of that _________________ When you feel your life ain?t worth living

Yup. Salt and Pepper it is. Also the letter H is right for the other one. I didn't see your answers 'cause of the page change. Sorry. ^_^;
Here's a bunch more. Have fun. :D
In a tunnel of darkness lies a beast of iron.
It can only attack when pulled back.
----------------------
My first is a number, my second another,
And each, I assure you, will rhyme with the other.
My first you will find is one-fifth of my second,
And truly my whole a long period reckoned.
Yet my first and my second (nay, think not I cozen),
When added together will make but two dozen.
How many am I?
-----------------------
Think of a person who lives in disguise,
who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.
Next, tell me what's always the last thing to men,
the middle of middle, the end of the end.
And finally, give me a sound often heard
during the search for a hard-to-find word.
Now string them together, and answer me this:
which creature would most be unwilling to kiss? _________________ Can your science explain why it rains?

I got two really hard ones but im guessing Drakken can easily answer them.
This one is for the christians out there hopefully you can figure this one out:
There are 16 books of the Bible in the following paragraph...can you find them?
I once made a remark about the hidden books of the Bible. It was a lulu; kept people looking so hard for facts and for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam especially since the names of the books were not capitalized, but the truth finally struck home to
numbers of readers. To others, it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. A little lady says she brews a cup of tea so she can concentrate better. See how well you can compete. Relax now for there really are sixteen names of the books in the Bible in this story
-----------------------
And this one is also pretty hard it think but im not that good at riddles:
1. There are 5 houses in five different colors.
2. In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
3. These five owners drink a certain drink, smoke a certain band of cigar and keep a certain pet.
4. no owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar nor drink the same drink.
THE QUESTION IS - WHO OWNS THE FISH?
The Britt lives in the red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the left of the white house.
The green house owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Paul Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the house right in centre drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.
-----------------------
Alright try your best and good luck _________________

Blackjack
for the first one the first thing that came to mind was a bullet
The second is 4:20, or four score haha that was a good one, I had to think about it a long time, and then suddenly it just clicked
and the third has already been answered
Blackknight
Haha oh great another cross hatch chart, this is what I got:
1st: Yellow, Norwegian, Dunhill, Water, Cat
2nd: Blue, Dane, Blend, Tea, horses
3rd: Red, Britt, Pallmall, Milk, birds
4th: Green, German, Prince, Coffee, Fish
5th: White, Swede, Bluemaster, Beer, Dog
If that isn't right I give up haha
Edit: I forgot to answer :lol: The answer is the German
Heres some to perplex you guys for awhile
1.My head and tail both equal are,
My middle slender as a bee.
Whether I stand on head or heel
Is quite the same to you or me.
But if my head should be cut off,
The matter's true, though passing strange
Directly I to nothing change.
What am I???
2. This is a very old one:
I'm a strange contradiction; I'm new, and I'm old,
I'm often in tatters, and oft decked with gold.
Though I never could read, yet lettered I'm found;
Though blind, I enlighten; though loose, I am bound,
I'm always in black, and I'm always in white;
I'm grave and I'm gay, I am heavy and light -
In form too I differ - I'm thick and I'm thin,
I've no flesh and bones, yet I'm covered with skin;
I've more points than the compass, more stops than the flute;
I sing without voice; without speaking, confute.
I'm English, I'm German, I'm French, and I'm Dutch;
Some love me too fondly, some slight me too much;
I often die soon, though I sometimes live ages,
And no monarch alive has so many pages.
3.This is a good one:
I am something people count on,
But I'm not your fingers or toes.
I am the comfort in your heart,
When your mind's not sure it knows.
People often call me blind,
For I have no eyes to see.
Several times I have been lost,
But I cannot be given away.
What am I? _________________ When you feel your life ain?t worth living

The only riddle I can remember off of the top of my head is one that I heard in grade 5, and it got me for the longest time. Here is my perplexing parable. It's a cute little wordplay that you need to watch out for in this one, and it's in black font about 8 lines below the bottom.
Zanzibar is in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and trying to dig a hole to Pondicherry, India. He does not have any electronic equipment, and is only using a shovel with no other labourers for the job.
It takes Zanzibar 45 minutes to dig a hole...how long does it take him to dig half a hole?
A: You can't dig half a hole now, can you? Riddles are stupid |

I'm sure there is a trick to this, but I'll give the obvious wrong answer to get it out of the way.
It will take Zanzibar half as long. (22 minutes and 30 seconds to be precise) |

Here check this one out:
While exploring the wilds of Canada, Wild Man Dave was captured by hostile wood fairies. Brad, the powerful chief of the fairies told him he could make one final statement which would determine how he would die. If the statement he made was false, he would be boiled in water. If the statement were true, he would be fried in oil. Wild Man Dave found neither of this options too his liking, so he made a statement that got him out of this seemingly impossible situation. What is the one statement he could have made
------------
And this one too:
Two convicts are locked in a cell. There is an unbarred window high up in the cell. No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape. They then decide to tunnel out. However, they give up with the tunneling because it will take too long. Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell. What is his plan?
-----------
Good luck!!!! |
