Word That Comes to Mind: Civic. I generally have positive feelings towards Honda because I drove a Civic for a long time, and it held up extremely reliably even though the poor thing was racked with miles, and nearly two decades old. Although I've heard since then Civics have changed dramatically, and are no longer subcompacts, which makes me sad.

Word That Comes to Mind: Customizable. Just like previous posters have stated, I really love Hondas. A Honda was the first car I have ever brought and they are simply excellent vehicles to own either used or brand new. Their reliable service goes without saying and they also get excellent mpg. But, the shocking thing for me is that the company continues to implement more innovations to keep up with inviduals like myself that love to customize their ride with after market parts. This car was THE tuner ride for years and it is still extremely competitive in that aspect. Now, with the new wave of hybrid cars I do expect to see more changes from Honda. The fact that I am an American makes me partial to American made brands, but I have and will continue to have a special place for Honda in my heart.

When I hear honda, I always think "Advert".

The honda adverts always stick in my head, not for good reasons though. That Hate Something, Change Something advert was really annoying but the rest were'nt that bad.

But even so if an advert sticks in your head is'nt that the definition of a successful advert.

"Reliable".

I haven't had any major problems with my old civic and now my 2005 Accord for the past few years. Plus the customer service in my place is excellent. They periodically call me after every maintenance check and see if I was satisfied. They even feed you sandwiches during the wait!
