The Game Go

I've played it, but seems like a fun game to play, people compare it to chess.... but after reading this it doesn't really sound much like it. ^_^ Shikamaru (my faovrite character from Naruto) love to play Go.

Good to see some interest in the game! I had never heard that legend before Trevoke, but I like it. A Go legend I had always heard deals with the origin of the game. Here it goes:

An emperor was worried that his son would be a terrible ruler because her knew that his son was not intelligent and could not rule properly. Th emperor confronted his advisors with this problem and asked them to come up with a game that would make his son intelligent. After the advisors worked together for some time they created the game Go as a way of controlling land. The Emperor's son was pupiled extensively afterwards until he understood the game and when the Emperor died, the son was a wise ruler.

Timbo: No, I don't play, though I have once or twice... I simply did a quick research online to give people ampler information.
Go is a fun game, but I lack people to play it with online (for lack of looking for them :) ) or in real life.. And my interests currently lie elsewhere (martial arts, taoism, Linux). If you're interested in beating me up at Go, I'm sure we can play :)

It wasn't me, and judging by the lack of any edit notifications, I'm inclined to believe Pyroflame merely quoted the text himself so he could make his comment. (As he was only commenting on the Go legend)

Well, it looks like there's a database problem when I try to sign on. I'll try from home later tonight.
turn-based like that is good.. Especially for a game like Go or chess ;)

Dirty awful double-post to mention to Timbo that my registration on itsyourturn.com has gone through and I'm already playing my first game of Go against some guy in Britain..

Looks like this might just be enjoyable! I'll give you three guesses as for what my nickname is there but I'm chopping off limbs if you get the first guess wrong :)
