Of course I knew it had the best story, but suikoden doesn't usually get noticed or awarded, does it? _________________ Quickly, please, the world is about to end. |

It's not too surprising. Suikoden always had one of the best stories in an RPG game, and it's about time it gets the attention it deserves. It's good to know our beloved series is getting some attention now, eh? |

No, it doesn't. This is very unusual, especially from a major site like IGN.
Oh, but now I'm pissed. If you look at "Best RPG," they gave it to friggin Final Fantasy XII, with Suikoden V as first runner up. Still first runner up is great, but seriously... FFXII is one of the worst RPGs I've played. _________________

If bully and FFXII are runner ups then this award means nothing. I despise them, storywise that is, thank god Suikoden won instead of them. _________________ DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! |

It's best to just assume SE bribed them to get FFXII on the charts. I really can't think of a much more realistic explanation for that. Even the most hardcore FF fans I've talked to aren't enjoying the game too much. _________________

I'm just sick with big franchises games stealing all the categories. In all honesty I hate seeing FFXII in every freaking award.
The graphic style is the same as in Vagrant story, the graphics are a ripoff from final fantasy 10 but with nicer hair. The ps2 didn't offer anything better graphic wise than this!?
Oh well, no use to get all worked up about that here; let's be happy about Suikoden and it's total ownage. _________________ DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! |

I love the series and I'm glad it's won an award on some major video game site thing, but I wouldn't give Suikoden V's plot the title of best anything really. (Although its counterparts as far as IGN has listed don't make for decent competition)
Although I'd probably let it take Best RPG of the year. _________________ One day, I shall come back. Yes, we shall all come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. |

I'm actually likeing FFXII so far, but I am convinced it hates my soul with a passion. Regardless, it's fun. ^^ I'm happy Suikoden got an award. I haven't felt this since... since... Digital Devil Saga won RPG of the year last year!

Story? Hmm, thats rather peculiar for IGN to give Suikoden an award. However, we should be more happy than curious. |

Why It Rocked: Konami's popular RPG franchise hasn't told a tale this good since Suikoden II rocked our souls on the original PlayStation.

Popular?

Konami's writers have definitely gone against the grain with this one, and it's highly appreciated.

Finally a little of recognition. I think Suikoden III had some awards, but considering how SIV was treated -I thought Suikoden was sinking; despite all I enjoyed it...more than SIII :? - it is a big success that Suikoden is on the right way again...without Murayama. Great success. Happy for this award :D _________________ The drunkest cavalry unit in the world.

Thisi s a pleasant surprise. I haven't seen many awards given to our favorite game, and this one was least expected. However, i'm happy that Suikoden's getting attention. I'd have to agree with the sentiments mentioned earlier about the high-ranked VG companies' games being always at hte top. They shoud let other games which deserve more into the limelight...
After this review, i'm pretty sure lots of Suikoden 2 players wil buy it. I'm sensing a tip in the supply and demand scale.... :D
