The leviathans can be found all over the donut island region. On a side note, I love how much easier it is to level characters up to level 99 with the training hall system. No more stopping at level 70 like in past Suikodens! _________________ "Into battle we ride

I just make sure to have my 3rd boat party made up of high-level mages with high level runes to get rid of the Leviathan quickly. Go take a snooze to refill their magic, then hit the high seas once more. That's just my advice.
Oh, and the Hero-Snowe unite is flagging fantastic. :D _________________ ~~Harmonian Tenhei Star~~

Those 'epic' monsters are more fun than most bosses. They are actually HARD, instead of 'meh' like most plot-related bosses. Angel Furball, too, before level 50-55. Those guys get the ol' adrenaline going.
I agree the True Friends Attack is cool, but I like Sigurd and Hervey's Pirate attack, too. It looks neat with Hervey flailing madly with his sword, then Sigurd steps in and calmly whips a dart at the monster. |

Odd that I stopped running into, well, anything once I put the Champion's Rune on and got to just a smidge over 40. At least nothing on the open seas anyway. Are these creatures still a challenge by this point in the game?
*sighs* And does anyone know what the Angel Furball had in the final dungeon? I realize now I could have returned to my ship and rested after killing it, but it didn't occur to me at the time so I had to skip it. And you can't Slash one even when you can Release it, annoyingly enough. |

yep, it is the Chaos Shield, not that I wanted to get it or anything. I just wish those Angel Hairballs were easier to beat. I guess that one thing that Konami did was to up the power of random monsters and make them harder. _________________ Avatar courtesy of Midori
