I'm just going to link a thread of a statement I made at Suikosource.

I am unsure of what you are attempting to do with this topic. Are you asking for permission to do this, help for this or just stating that you are doing it?

He's saying "This is how things are, not a damn thing you can do about it except annoy me by deleting threads", but he's trying to be polite and it hasn't actually entered his mind that this is what he's saying.
He currently feels like he's doing us a favor by letting us know this exists...

I'm currently apathetic to the issue, though :D

apprently that person is trying to start a wikipedia just on suikoden topics from various boards. some ways it could be ok and others it won't since it's wikipedia and you can easly modify data there.

Not only that, but there's no way that's going to survive Wikipedia screening. Surviving as a separate entry would be one thing, but that jumbled mess isn't going to last on such a noteworthy entry as that. Wikipedia users are notorious for trimming redundant or overly complex information. Especially stuff that's primarily speculation or gameplay help.

I feel kind of guilty not doing it myself.

Perhaps a better idea would be to have a topic index right here on the site itself. That would be a lot more secure than doing it at wikipedia, where it could be altered or deleted by anybody.

It seem like a nice idea but there are bound to be problems. Perhaps people in suikox and other suikoden forums can make a separate wiki for suikoden.

It appears that no matter what I do with the thing it always ends up getting screwed up. Seeing how unpredictable Wikipedia is I won't be able to make this project go through.

I could always have a site/message board owner have me use their space for the archive. Or wait till I have the money and know how to make my own board.
