Masochistic Names?

When I thought of masochistic names... I thought of the time I played Suikoden 1 with a hero named Satan... just to see Leknaat say "Satan, that's a friendly name." in the beginning, then I took a picture of it.

I also gave him the very mocking name "HERO-BOY" which I got tired of right around the time you "meet" Antoinette... didn't finished that game.

I wouldn't exactly call it masochistic,more of a preference for exotic names.
In similar fashion to how most foreign names in the U.S. are usually considered different & exotic,yet manage to be pronunced improperly.
Especially the name Sakura,and most japanese names in general.
It's a phenomonon that I don't quite understand.
Since most japanese names sound exactly as they're spelled.
Now French names,that's a whole different matter.
