Speaking of avatars, I haven't been able to upload any icons I've made from my machine as an avatar. It goes through without any error messages, but nothing is uploaded. It's pointless for me to try my Angelfire webhost b/c it has an image ban. The signature banner comes from my Geocities host, and they're of no use for avatars either.

Have you tried photobucket? They -are- free, and that's basically the whole point of the site, to provide space so you can link your images. |

there is also imageshack, which i believe is better than photobucket in my opinion. but either are fine for avatars.
