The winds subsided, and the men stood arrayed in their full splendor. John Layfield rode atop his mount, as he went to address his troops. "Today, we lay claim to the lands north of the Muse Principality! Onward we march! For King Flkitor! For glory and victory!" The men cheered and prepared to march on the Muse-Matilda checkpoint, which was now in clear view.
Meanwhile, in the fortress, Alliance Leader, Schala-Kid and Matilda Governor Black Pesmerga were in conference discussing the present state of affairs. In the midst of the discussion, a female officer hurriedly approached the two officials. "Milady, Lord Governor! The Highland Army has assembled in full splendor, right outside the Muse-Matilda checkpoint!" The officer was none other than Stormbringer, leader of some of Jowston's finest archers. "Very well then." Schala-Kid responded. "Let us meet them on the field of battle!"
As the Highland Army pitched camp, John Layfield conferred with his men, Blinking Mirror, and Lunarblade. He suggested having the infantry stand ready, but have them talk amongst one another, in order to throw the enemy off.
The Jowston Army marched onward to the checkpoint, the last bastion between the Highland forces, and Rockaxe castle, the now-present capital of Jowston. Schala-Kid, seeing the Highland army apparently slouching off outside their camp, shouted, "Send Stormbringer out to meet them! Let her archers pick off the enemy one-by-one!" Immediately, Stormbringer led her archers outside the checkpoint, and they began preparations for a general bombardment.
Just then, John Layfield ordered his infantry force of 50,000 soldiers forward in a frenzy. Swords clashed, and every last one of Stormbringers 12,623 archers had been felled in the assault. With the fields red with the blood of her troops, Stormbringer barely managed to escape as John Layfields men charged into the gate, but were just shut out in time.
Round 1
Stormbringer's regiment suffers 12623 casualties, leaving them with 0 soldiers, while John Layfield's regiment suffers 0 casualties, leaving them with 50000 soldiers.
John Layfield's regiment wins.
Angry at the easy defeat of Stormbringers men, Schala-Kid shook her fist, and shouted to her soldiers, "So they are able to fell our archers? Let's see how they like the firepower of my crossbowmen!"
Immediately, her crossbowmen began to fire on the Highland soldiers. To meet this challenge, John Layfield ordered Blinking Mirror's own archers to begin to fire back, but it was too late. Schala-Kid's crossbowmen decimated Blinking Mirror's archers, while only losing a few of her own men. The fields now ran red with the blood of both armies.
Round 2
Schala-Kid's regiment suffers 3750 casualties, leaving them with 36206 soldiers, while Blinking Mirror's regiment suffers 10000 casualties, leaving them with 0 soldiers.
Schala-Kid's regiment wins.
Appalled at the wonton slaughter of Blinking Mirror's men, John Layfield ordered Blinking Mirror back to Highland, to raise a new army. Sighing, he then conferred with Lunarblade. "Well, it all comes down to this... Show them what your men are capable of!" Lunarblade responded, "Of course, milord." At once, Lunarblade rode ahead of his cavalrymen, to rally the attack.
The Jowston forces were enjoying their most recent victory, and cheered Scala-Kid for avenging the deaths of Stormbringer's men. At this time, a scout reported that a large cavalry force was now assembling ourside the gates of the checkpoint. Schala-Kid sighed, "No rest for the wicked, is there?" Smiling, Black Pesmerga bowed to his leader. "Allow me to deal with these Highlanders, milady!" Schala-Kid nodded in approval, and Black Pesmerga's Czech Knights rode forth, eager to engage the enemy.
Shouting, Lunarblade ordered his men forward, as Black Pesmerga did the same for his men. The battle was amazing, as neither side had a definite advantage, but Black Pesmerga's knights, invigorated by fighting alongside of their governor fought with incredible fervor, and were able to drive back Lunarblade's cavalry to the Highland camps, and an angry John Layfield.
Round 3
Black Pesmerga's regiment suffers 6266 casualties, leaving them with 30283 soldiers, while Lunarblade's regiment suffers 18275 casualties, leaving them with 6791 soldiers.
Black Pesmerga's regiment wins.
Black Pesmerga led his victorious men back to the checkpoint, where Schala-Kid congratulated him on the well-fought victory. "The Checkpoint is safe for now, but I'm sure the Highlanders will be back soon." She said to Black Pesmerga. "Perhaps," he responded. "Only time will tell. For now, let us enjoy this small victory for what it is!"

----=<Round 1>=----
Two forces gathered on either side of the largest open feild in Matilda that was just outside Rockaxe, Jowstons Capital. The field is surrounded by forests, in which the Highlanders camp and wait for the coming conflict.
Tensions are high as the two armies prepare for the oncoming assault on Jowston's capital. Leading the charge is Highlands own John Layfield and his 50,000 Longhorns into battle with Jowstons valiant leader Schala-Kid and the 45,257 Crossbowmen under her command. The battle viciously fought by both combatants but it was clear who would be the victor in this challenge of military superiority. Schala-Kid despite having fewer soldiers than Layfield, was better equiped firing from inside the walls of Rockaxe with her Crossbowmen. Amazingly some of the Longhorns managed to breach the walls and do some damage before falling to the bolts shot from the Deathbringers crossbows. Suffering 45,258 casualties John Layfield and his remaining Longhorns fell back to their camp but left after inflicting 18,750 casualties on Schala-Kids troops. Unknownst to them though, a plan was being hatched from deep in the forest's around Matilda by the Abhorsen.
----=<Round 2>=----
Riding out, lances forward and ready to rumble emerged Fliktor, the Abhorsen. Fliktor himself courageously leading the Binders of Orranis into combat. As they crested the final hill towards Rockaxe he saw Black Pesmerga, riding on his stallion, his 37,853 Czech Knights riding behind him. They charge into battle with the Abhorsen.
Lances stab and jab all over the field, men ride swiftly as they can lance out only to be stopped abruptly and dismounted by a chance strike of another soldier. Carnage ensued as they fought vigilently with one another. Soon even Fliktor was dismounted, but continued fighting from on foot, doing almost as well as he did mounted. Fliktor soon saw the tide of battle favoring Jowston and called loudly over the battlefield for a retreat. When both sides returned to their camps, Black Pesmerga triumphantly and Fliktor defeated, they counted their loses. From the Czech Knights, 12,257 warriors were noticably missing. From Fliktors Binders of Orranis there were 18,927 holes in his ranks. Jowston allowed Fliktor and the remaing Highland troops to come and pick up their dead to be tended and buried once back in Highland, and after they left Jowston came out and collected their own.
