Jeane have a Moon Rune?

Do you believe if i said thet Jeane is a true rune itself? Like beast rune that represent beast, Jeane represent human. I have heard it somewhere. Well, just a rumour. But Jeane live long. In Suikoden 4 (long time ago) until suikoden 3. Or Jeane teleporting with Viki? Ha ha ha. I'm not so sure myself....

It has been confirmed by Konami that she has nothing to do with a true rune so i doubt it very much.

All we know for sure is that she is from the Old Armes kingdom.

Eresh also says something about being in this vessel, so from this we can assume that her current form isn't her original.

This is pretty much all we know.

*waits for John to come and point out a blindly obvious one* :P

Man, this is going back - I had to really dig to find an old Jeane theory thread. Is it possible that Jean (and possibly Ersh) are from the World of Emptiness? Perhaps summoned somehow in the same way that Yohn/Yuber were? Yuber is apparently ageless as is Jeane. It's one of the only remaining theories that can hold water (until someone else points out everything wrong about it) since she's not/nor has a true rune. Thoughts?

We didn't get any real evidence that she was not human in III!. All we found out is that she has some kind of secret. This secret may be that she is not human or it could be that she walks around with beef jerky in her pockets! It really doesn't say.

Yes, the thing that was said was that she didn't want "them" to know because they would be scared, right? No evidence, just a lead that screams for explanation in another game.
All we know for sure, is that Koroku could see it, although WE couldn't, even through the dog's eyes...

Well, I think it went more like Koroku has the ability to see Jeane's 'true form'. Whatever this true form is, we have no idea. She could just be another attractive woman, a mad scientist, an old man, a squid or something else. The list is too broad to take a guess at what this true form of Jeane really is. The only thing we could hope is that we get more clues about her in future Suikoden games and maybe then we could make a good speculation of what Jeane's true form truly is.

Hmmm, I suppose her true form could tie in with that whole vessel business that Eresh was talking about. That is, if Jeane and Eresh actually have that much in common.

There's an old Myth that Dogs can see ghosts :D

I like the idea of Jeane being somehow connected to the "World of Emptiness" it would explain her agelessnes and her "true form". Obviously her true form is a fish-monster.

PS: The whole "or she could have jerky in her pockets" made me laugh out loud, drawing the attention of my co-workers.

Actually, dogs don't judge things by sight as often as we do. They use there other senses to 'see' things. I believe this is why they can sense ghosts and such. I had a dog when I was in high school that, no matter how much I would creep up, he always knew when I was coming down the street. Never failed! I would come around the corner. Sneak up from two houses away (there was a lot in the way, so he couldn't see me) and as soon as I could spot him through some bushes or what not, he was standing up, on his hind legs, looking straight in my direction. You could tell he hadn't seen me either, because as soon as I'd step into sight, he'd start bouncing up and down and running around like he was saying 'hurry up'! So if Jeane was inhuman, I'm sure Koroku would be the one who could tell.

Now does Jeane tell Koroku that he saw her "true form" or just that he knows her "secret?" Her secret could be that she stuffs her bra for all we know (well, probably not that since we'd see that pretty clearly). She might read to sick children or she may be turning tricks in the back room to support her Rune shop (since she happily forgets to charge you for her services in Suikoden 1).
