So, basically, there's no good reason to invest any amounts other than 40,000 potch,, 70,000 potch, and 100,000 potch?

Also, when is the money removed from our total potch counts? Is it at the end of the phase or when we designate where we are investing?

So, if, for whatever reason, I didn't have at the end of the phase however much I had previously entered as my investment, would my investment be cut, or would I go into debt?

I believe the cap is one hundred.

Sounds like a pretty cool new feature to me. It'll be nice to have some new things to spend Potch on, besides soldiers and the few items that are available at the Trading Post at the moment. Looks like all of my questions about this have already been answered, too...gotta love showing up late to a thread.

The cap may increase depending on your region's technology stat. This is because if you have higher technology, you'll develop new ways to go beyond the threshold imposed by your region's resources.
