In Suikoden 2, before you get North Window as your base, there seems to be a puzzle in the area that will become the jail.

Five bones (?) arranged thus: (I think)

What's up with this? Was it a puzzle in the Japanese version that got cut from the American? It looks as though it may have been.
Does anyone know?

i believe you are talking about the statues you have to move in order to get on to the next room. when you get to the area with the 5 statues move the one that is off the platform thing on the ground and move it into it to open up the door to get to the next room, but if you want the treasure leave that one that's already off, off and move the first one on the left hand side off to open that door, and they move them all back on to open up the other door if you haven't done that.

Hmm, I don't think that's what he's talking about Buff. I think he's talking about the oddly arranged bones in the Jail Cell on your way to the docks at Northwindow. I don't know what those are either, although it does look like the developers may have designed it to be a puzzle and then abandoned the idea.

it's suppose to tell you which way the bones are suppose to be arranged to get into the room that has a treasure chest in it. 2 bones off and 3 on.

Buff's right. What he was trying to say that those arrangement of the bones was a clue as to what to do in order to get the treasure at the room with the statues.

Okay then. I always wondered what they were for. I'll remember that on the next time I play through.

since it is a blue ribbon and only females can equip it there is really no need to use it since it only prevents from being targeted.

Always equip it if you don't want Neclord targeting your female character.

ya it does, but a belt of strength will do more as it has 6 def and i believe 5 strength.

neclord doesn't fight you in the north window castle, he runs away and leaves you a monster called abomination.
