When I saw that the first thought that came to my mind was..... what? I have no idea what any of that is and to be frank about it I am still clueless to it's purpose or anything of that sort. Could someone please explain this to me? Or maybe I am just too lazy to figure it out in which case never mind.

You see, where there's a forum, mailing list, or any other kind of online community, there's always gonna be fights. Which are called Flame Wars.
And people fight them in different ways.
And that page classifies people by the way they fight them on different stereotypes, so people can identify themselves with the particular class (or classes) that resemble them the most.
It's all humourous, though somewhat accurate.

Ah, man! Here I thought this was a thread about the warriors from Planet Fire from the Shadow Raiders series. Or, at least, about Elc's villagers from Arc the Lad II.

I think we all fell into one particular category, perhaps to varying degrees, at one point: Newbie. Everybody is a newbie when they start, but I don't think the typical newbie is as pathetic as the example given, but it's good for a laugh nonetheless.

The whole "flame wars" meaning was one of the reasons I wasn't keen on using the full "Flame Master Elc" name, particularly on Usenet. Originally, on GameFAQs and later with email, I wanted just "Elc" but, like so many other names, it was already taken so I added the "Flame Master" to it based on one of Elc's introductions in Arc the Lad II.

I think a Flame Warrior, which doesn't exist on that site, which may have an undeserved reputation is the AOL User. There's got to be a lot of AOL users who are, for lack of a better description, quite normal. It's just the morons have given them a bad name. Such AOL users are also adept at being an Imposter and change their identity from time to time.
