Dragon fin and mercenary recruitment?

Hi, where do you get the dragon fin that is required to complete one of the recipe quests?

Is it true you can recruit the four mercenaries (the group that you fight a couple of times from fort el eal to the plains) because I read that you can but what I read is for a japanese version of the game?

You can get dragon fins by defeating dragons at Obel Ruin's 6th level.

To get the mercenaries, you have to complete all of Chiepoo's quests without doing any of the X-merchang's quests. After that, when you get your quest level to S rank, you'll be able to fight against the mercs for one last time. Defeat them and they'll join you.

I was wondering why Chiepoo was having such a hard time. Oops for helping the mercenaries inadvertantly :P

ah man, i just did the Bonito quest becuz it was the easiest...and Snowe failed the advertising one...

I did as well. That's why I was so shocked. I was also besides myself when Eugene failed the sparring quest with the Razril Knights since he's level 22 and it required someone with a spear.

The success of most dispatch quests is determined by certain stats. The sparring one not only requires a spear user, but also that the spear user have over a certain number on one or two stats.

There is a load of info over at the Suikosource forums (including Dipatch Mission Requirements) so you may want to check their if you're looking for something as it's likely going to be faster than waiting for someone to respond to your post.
