[Phase 6] Jowston vs Scarlet Moon at Arlus [Concluded]

As Alyoyo and Jeanemon's forces patrolled the waters outside Arlus, one of their watch men called forth from the crow's nest "Jowston banner ahead!" Hearing the watchman's alarm, Alyoyo and Jeanemon ordered their fleet to engage the Jowston ships.

Alyoyo gazed at the two Jowston ships with a puzzled look, "I don't see any soldiers on that ship," he said. As the ship got closer, it became apparent that the ship was old and in disrepair. Some sailors mocked Jowston as they commented on the poor state of the ship.
Jeanemon quietly said to Alyoyo, "this smells like a trap, what do you think?"

Alyoyo nodded, "take her 2 o'clock starboard," he commanded the navigator. The navigator quickly turned the rudder wheel and the ship tilted to the right. "Ready your mages Jeanemon," he said as he gazed at the Jowston ships.

Suddenly, flames erupted from the Jowston ships. "They took 10 o'clock port side captain, they're coming right at us!" An apprentice navigator said. "Take her 2 o'clock starboard again," Alyoyo commanded the navigator. The ship turned to the right again, now nearly turning the face of it's sterncastle towards the enemy ship.

"They're gaining on us captain," the assistant navigator said in desperation."

"Of course, they are lighter and their also on fire," Alyoyo replied, "Just continue on course."

As the ship continued on, the crew suddenly felt a jolt as the ship encountered a strong current. However, Alyoyo's ship was heavy enough to continue on. "3 o'clock starboard!" Alyoyo commanded after the ship crossed the strong current.

The watched as the burning ships following them entering the stronger current-- immediately, the light ships were pushed by the current, losing it's ability to navigate. The burning ships made their port side vulnerable towards Alyoyo's ship. Jeanemon commanded her magicians to launch their magic at the ships. Defenseless, the ships were torn apart by lightning and fire. As the ship started taking water, Alyoyo and Jeanemon saw a few people escape using a small boat. "Let them go, the sea will judge their fate, " Alyoyo said. The crew cheered as the last mast of the enemy ship went down under.
