Well, I've noticed that Axel, Rikie, Rakgi, and Jewel all have a triangle on their foreheads. Which is interesting...because this reminded me of two comments I received in the Comment Box. One from Axel, and one from Jewel.

The one from Jewel just stated that her home was in Na-Nal, and that she moved because of the Island Chief (or something to that nature)

The one from Axel stated that the markings on people from Na-Nal mean something. He said that his meant something important, but he'd ask his father later (which didn't help me much, since we both new that wasn't gonna happen)

So I'm wondering...do the triangles have anything to do with Na-Nal? Were Rikie and Rakgi even FROM Na-Nal? What exactly do these weird triangle's mean?

It sounds strange...but I think that this might be the games way of connecting to the Cyndar. Sound stupid?? I dunno, just a speculation I suppose.

Tell me what YOU think!

They are na-nal cultural markers. The red triangles (pointing up or down) means that particular na-nal citizen is away from Na-Nal and is therefore not "fulfilling their roles."

Blue triangles pointing upwards means that this person is a Na-Nal citizen who is assigned to fight in the front lines in an event of an attack.

Blue triangles pointing downwards means that this person is a Na-Nal citizen who's role is to help out behind the front lines, such as in logistics or taking care of the wounded.

Okay, that's all fine and dandy but...how do the colors change? And how does the Island Chief know WHEN to change the colors (if he's even the one who does it.)

I'm confused...now I know what they mean but...do they change them themselves or something?? How does that work? Does the chief have some sort of rune?

The colors are changed by the individual citizens. It's stated as being a type of dye that can be washed off.

Just so you know, since SARS didn't mention it, Rikie and Rakgi are from Na-Nal too. It is said at the end that they returned to Na-Nal after the war...

So then that means that the Rune of Punishment was at Na-Nal at one point and time right? I mean, if Rikie and Rakgi were there, then that means that the father was there too...okay, starting to make more sense

Just because they are from Na-Nal does not mean it was once there. The father actually found the Rune of Punishment after leaving them to go on a journey if I recall correctly. I believe he was an adventurer.

I have been going crazy trying to find an answer to that. Thanks for the info, Sars!!!
