http://www.konamistyle.jp/item/70220

(I only found German pages on that, so if anybody of you has an English link, please share it)

A German site also says, that you can preorde rit until the 15. Decembre, if there are not enough pre-orders, the box maybe will never come out. If it comes out, it will come out supposedly on 24. March 2011. Price: 25000 Yen (ca. 220 €) .

It includes:
•Genso Suikoden (1995)
•Genso Suikoden II (1998)
•Genso Suikoden Gaiden Vol.1 (2000)
•Genso Suikoden Gaiden Vol.2 (2001)
•Genso Suikoden III (2002)
•Genso Suikoden IV (2004)
•Rhapsodia (2005)
•Genso Suikoden V (2006)
•Genso Suikoden Tierkreis (2008)

It certainly would have stand a better chance of getting released if it wasn't limited to Konamistyle's Japan-only ordering system.

This may be a gauge of the series' current popularity?

It's about $308. As wonderful as that box would be, even if it was possible to order it...I, for one, can think of a few things I'd rather buy at that price!

You could probably get all the soundtracks separately for much less!

25,000 yen equates to (currently);

$317 Australian Dollars (1 AU = 79.09 Yen)
$311 American Dollars (1USD = 80.39 Yen)
$223 Euro's (1 EUR = 112.12 Yen)
$193.95 British Pounds (1 GBP = 128.929 Yen)

Of course these prices are before any postage from Japan and before any market fluctuations on the days leading up to the purchase, needless to say though, that for the "western" societies the price point is above $300, for Europe it's around the $200 mark so that'd be a comfortable range for most currencies for the "life of the preorder" as these 4 are generally the stronger performing currencies and disregarding the Aussie dollar, accepted world wide.

Generally + or - $5 with market fluctuations and you'll be around the mark of the price.

I wouldn't say this, most OSTs can only be ordered as japan-imports, too, and I think the Suikoden II OST is quite rare. I mean you can't get a new CD under 10€, this is quite impossible. But in this package, it is possible ;)

Suikoden II OST / OGS is broken up into 2 cases each containing 2 CD's that retail for about $37 each / 6000 yen for the 1st and double for the second. They aren't just Japanese imports though as the older CD's are now ultimately int he realm of second hand sales as well that if you get lucky you could get a bargain instead of paying over $100 (US) for Suikoden II alone.

Add the rest of the series' OST, and it isn't that bad a deal then?

From my searchings to get a ballpark figure, I had to go to 4 websites to source the OST's individually, several were out of print / out of stock and the totals and what I missed ended up being $297.45 with no Rhapsodia, Suikogaiden 1 or 2. Suiko 1, Suiko 3 and Tierkreis were out of print / out of stock but did have prices listed, and this is before any postage is added on for shipping.

So ultimately buying them all from scratch you'd be looking at about $410 including postage if they were magically sourced so you could combine postage on items. $310 + postage is obviously a better deal if you've got none of the OST's.

So you get these all on physical discs, and maybe I missed this but are they all in their original formats? Like I and II on ps1 discs? This is cool for collectors, but what I would like to see is Suikoden II finally available for download so everyone can finally play it.

They are just the soundtracks, not the actual games. They should come in Audio CD format.

Someone more fluent in Japanese might want to double-check...

but while I was wandering around looking for more media for the newest game (100 years) I noticed a tweet (posted on Nov 6) that mentions that this complete OST box is out now...
