Topic to reminisce.

For me, I was reading one of my (now old) gamepro or some other game magazine from the mid 90's. I go to the back pages of the issue and I see this cheat article detailing how to find the characters and I'm like amazed that there are so many. (As such I was already a huge RPG fan). Suffice to say, I go to an electronics boutique and voila, fan for life.

Rented Vandal Hearts, thought it was cool - bought it. The back of the instruction manual had an advertisement for Suikoden and since I liked VH a lot I sought it out. So like since the summer of 1997 I've been playing the series.

I saw a friend of mine playing Suikoden II it here in small city in Argentina. It was year 2000 and it was one of the firsts times i saw an RPG. Of course, Suikoden I was almost IMPOSSIBLE to get here.

So, a few years passed and because of internet we could play Suikoden I and finally complete and fully understand the story.

Been a fan ever since I saw it on my friend's TV... And will be forever

A friend of mine had Suikoden I back about the time it came out. I got to play it a bit, and enjoyed it. Years later, when I got my PS2 (back in '04), I came across the preorder info for Suikoden IV and a used copy of Suikoden III, and remembering how I liked the first game, I picked up III and ordered IV. I also placed a search request (GameCrazy) for Suikoden II. I've been hooked ever since.

Have been playing since around 1999. Had never heard of suikoden and was very lucky to discover it. Had a played a few rpgs like BoF3, FF7 and was hooked.

I was given a huge list of ps games an had to pick 2 of them for my birthday. I scanned it for any sign of an rpg i had heard of, which wasnt many at the time. I couldnt find one i knew so i thought id gamble on one called suikoden 2. Something about the title interested me so i circled it on impulse but i thot it would most likely turn out to be a beat em up like tekken coz the name sounded eastern. I still remember how excited i was when the title screen came up. Once i entered my name and the game started i knew i had found a gem. My favourite rpg/game ever found by a stroke of luck!

On the year 2000 I was suppose to play again Final Fantasy 8 but my neighbor asked me to exchange it with him. He introduced to me a concept wherein there's 108 characters. It was Suikoden 2. It was a life changing experience.

Back when i could afford to buy games on a whim, i used to go to Best Buy all the time and check out the games. Since i have been a RPG gamer since Dungeon and Dragons back in the early 80's, i would check the RPG games first.

One day I saw Suikoden 1 on the shelf, and that was that. I own all the PS version of Suikoden, and just finished replayed Suikoden 4 for the umpteenth time a few weeks ago. Shame the game gets looked down upon, as i think it's just as good as the rest.

I entered a Gameplay store and was hunting down for a good RPG to snuggle up to for the night and came across Suikoden III. As I read the back of the box and saw that there were 108 characters to recruit and the ability to fix/add to a castle in the game along with three varying chapters and epic battles, I was hooked!! Played it and fell in love with it. It was then I discovered this site and then played Suikoden II and V.

I still haven't played Suikoden I and IV. Sooooooo many people tell me to definitely play Suikoden I, but that Suikoden IV will be a waste of time (though I love kitty cats and they are in it ^___^)

When I was a wee lad my best friend's brother's best friend (sort that one out) had Suikoden II with him while we were all at my friend's house in 1998 or 99 I think. I had remembered an article I read about the game in Game Informer that had be intrugued, so I asked to play it, and needless to say I spent the majority of that morning and afternoon ignoring my buddies and playing the game. I ended up trading him some WCW game called mayhem or something for it. Been a fan ever since.

Subsequently nobody will ever be able to convince me that Suikoden II isn't the best game in the series. :)

Simply put, I saw the ad for Suikoden II in a gaming magazine. At the time I was heavily into RPG gaming and the game looked extremely interesting. It was a hard game to find at the time, it was being priced right at $49.99 and no place carried it. However, on one eventful day, I saw the game at a pawn shop being priced at $15.00, so I took it. That was the beginning of my fascination and love for this underrated series.

I picked Suikoden 1 up at a local blockbuster while I was visiting my mother for the summer. I actually went there for another game that one of my friends recommended but it was out at the time so I happen to pick it up as I was browsing though the titles and began to read the back cover thought it sounded very interesting so I decided to rent it.

I didn't actually start playing it till about 8:00 that night and the more I played it the more intrigued I became about this world that the game was set in and the characters of the game itself and I just couldn't put it down  didn't go to bed that night playing it as was sometimes the case with me back in those days.

Anyways that my story of how I came across this great series

Once I played it, I loved the story line and the many character involved... I become fan of Suiko series then. At this moment I playing Suiko I at PSP

after my summer events on April 2002, i go to the mall near our summer event and go to the PS1 store. Then I check the CDs and when I saw the Suikoden II game, I imagine it was a cool game because of the front cover. When I saw it, I bought it for only Php 50.00 or just $ 1.00. When I first try to play the game, I was amazed and a little bit entertained because other characters have picture icons (e.g. Rowd & Luca). So i thought from the first that in the future, maybe Captain Rowd or Luca Blight will join my party for my adventures. I was hoping they'll join my party, but later I realized that they are actually my enemy. Every time I see characters with icon above their name, I think that they will join my party and will be allied to me. That's how I meet Suikoden II. I love this game until today and will never perish! Thank You :)
