If inactive nations should merge with larger nations then Kooluk and New Armes best start writing their eulogies.
I think it's a terrible idea that could only spring forth from the much larger nations who will undoubtedly be the ones left standing. |
Well, SME isn't exactly the most hopping nation around. I'd rather merge with another small nation (such as Kooluk) so both can preserve their identities, rather than waiting until a nation dies off -then- merging into a bigger nation, completely alienating any of the people left around to go into that bigger nation.
So my idea is not to merge the small nations into big nations... but to merge the smaller nations to be more comparable to the bigger ones. _________________

Whose nation name would be retained or would we have something silly like Kooluk-Scarletia? _________________ One day, I shall come back. Yes, we shall all come back. We could call it the Toran Republic. Those damn dirty rebels finally won. _________________

The Scarook Empire! I can see it now! But no, I think we should just try and retain all our nations. Kooluk has plenty of members (like seven or eight) you just don't see them post much of anywhere else. _________________

I'm all for Zexmonia!!
But both nations have a shitload of threads that it would be really hard to put both together. Also, the condensation of psychopaths and closet-porn stars would likely cause a ripple in time and eventually lead to the destruction of suikox so nevermind... _________________ For the first time I feel as though I am reborn

Nah, let's keep them all the way they are. Even the less active nations have a sense of identity. _________________

To be honest, however, Tinto-New Armes wouldn't come as a shock and would make a lot of sense.... _________________ One day, I shall come back. Yes, we shall all come back. I don't really see why, the only Tinto affiliated person there is Tony Stark, that's as much as we've got in common with several other nations who home former Tinto members. The idea they are our 'vassal' as someone put it earlier is pretty far from the truth, we were allies like any other and no more. Feel free to choose to believe otherwise though. _________________

I always saw New Armes as part of the Greater Tinto Federation myself. :P |

New Armes is/was an NPC nation with very few active members, even their leader has admitted he doesn't turn up much. Tony Stark is basically the man in New Armes now. That is why I feel a union would be worth considering.
Tinto, Grassland, Gaien, even Kooluk can gamely meander on with some measure of activity. New Armes struggled to do this even when there was a nation system going on. That is what I meant, although I do have my own opinions on at least the early Tinto-New Armes relationship. _________________ One day, I shall come back. Yes, we shall all come back. Oh yes, the federation, of course. Not the nation though, there's a difference.
You're welcome to your opinions of course John and I'm sure there wouldn't be anything I can say to dissuade you from them anyway so I won't try. I can only state things from my own perception of them and I have done so. _________________

Oops....uh, excuse my poor navigation skills but I accidently voted yes. Just +1 to no and -1 to yes, and that should be the real result....
One idea that came across me though was to open each nation's main forum to everyone and the nation leaders would decide who had access to the nation's subforums.
That, or the whole merging idea. The Scarlet Zexmonian Federation FTW! |

So we just merge each alliance into one, creating THREE distinct forces... One, the other, and the mercenaries. _________________

I am going to abstain from voting as there is no "neutral" vote and I will fully support whichever course of action Vex and the rest of the admins decide when it comes to the fate of the nations. If the nations can be retained without causing any stress for Vex, then I will give a hearty "hell yeah!" but if the very nature of the system is compounding his issues, then I support getting rid of them.
As for the nation traveling idea I've seen mentioned here, I should point out that I had pitched a complete tourism idea to Vex a year ago, which is essentially the same idea. People could visit other nations so long as they could afford to pay... oh, and the nations could choose their nightly rates and even have rival innkeepers for competition. I think, now that the war game has been brought to an end, it would be much easier to implement such a system as there is no need for secrecy and, hopefully, less animosity or negativity between nations.
As for a Kooluk-SMEEE HEEE merger, it's only logical that the combined nation would be "Scarlet Moon Empire" and I think the joke really speaks for itself. _________________

I'm not sure. I don't want to add stress to the lives of any of the admins and Lord knows this would add a lot. However, I am very curious to see what is going on/has gone on in all of your nations. _________________
