I loved all my days in Falena and Gaien.
I remember I made an awesome boat competition for Gaien, but by the time I got everything tabulated like, half the contestants were inactive. :( I've always meant to revise and restart it. I actually made a new one for Gaien and was only not making it due to a want of finishing up the Gaien adventures first.
I remember when pinapples were everywhere and you couldn't go five minutes without seeing Alseid get eaten by a lion.
I remember holding an honest-to-god election for moderators and having Elc win (by one vote!). He did a hilarious recap of the election I wish I had saved.
I remember having John over to Falena and us flirting like crazy, heh.
I remember visiting the INF and SME and having tons of fun there.
In Gaien, I remember joining, I remember being part of the INF and I remember being suprised when told not to go into certain forums (that I had access to, mind you) and feeling a bit upset at that. I also remember the exodus from it and starting our own board and how it reminded me of Falena and how happy I was to really help build something up again.
The event I remember with the most crystic clear was when John posted asking for help on then-Their Star/now-Due Fiumi. I remember that very well, right down to the sailing graphic from SIV he had as a place holder on the main their star site, at the time when it was before opening. I remember being eager to start it because Harmonia Online had been so disappointing, and thinking it had a chance.
I'm very happy it did, since it lead me to the man I love. <3
My memories with John here are really something I'll always cherish. _________________

Another thing. Suikox was the first forum I joined so I didn't know much about how forums work.
When I joined, Sparhawk/Adam sent me a welcoming PM on my first day. I ignored it because I thought it was an automated PM to welcome new members :P
Good uncle Adam, I miss that guy. |

First of all, you guys know Fluffy was an awesome admin, but he was an equally awesome nation leader. It really sucked when we lost him to pantsless godhood. |
Yes, sorry about that. Had I not quit being an admin, they might not have taken Fluffy from you or, at least, not at that time.
My best memories would have to be the one year stretch I had in Falena, right at the very beginning. At a time when there was Sophita, Alseid, Diaz and Lord Dredd, Anais and cutie_bunnie and a few others who I've probably forgotten. (Liam hadn't yet joined us, so he missed out) Those were the best days of my (Suikox) life. _________________

If I'm being honest, the one thing I really enjoyed about the whole site was when I had a short PM converation with Anton Misri regarding Psychology, and the nature of humanity, and how it related to Suikox. It's such a pity it was lost in Vex's pruning of the PM's, if I'd have had any warning I'd have saved it. _________________ Can anyone tell I'm bored? |

Best memories were the days when Fluffy was still King of Highland and we were at war with Jowston. First of all, you guys know Fluffy was an awesome admin, but he was an equally awesome nation leader. It really sucked when we lost him to pantsless godhood. Despite what some people think, the war with Jowston was not that bad. We enjoyed it and we didn't hate Jowston or Aurelien. Actually, we didn't really get upset with each other until we talked about making peace. Go figure! |
That was the time....

John and Sophita, is it too soon to mention not being able to post in the INF boards shortly before our inaugural days? It's not a cheery memory detailing how those events transpired, but it is one that I probably won't forget when I think about the nation system.
Oh, and INF? Why did you make me duel Axiose when we were still technically affiliated with you guys? That was mean... _________________

I loved the duels Kooluk had when we first started out, I really got to know a lot of people. I won everyone of our tournaments. It was great. _________________

Before Highland, it had been awhile since I felt like I belonged in a Suikoden community. Just that was nice. I was starting to feel a little "left behind," I guess.
Me and a certain someone used to talk smack back and forth in something called Fliktor's arena, and also talk a little football as well. That was probably my favorite part of the whole thing. _________________

If we're talking about epicness, then there are two battles that I always cite (as my one example):
Phase 11
The Island Nations Federation vesus the Tinto Republic at Asra
The Island Nations Federation versus the Tinto Republic at Lasahn
Phase 11 was about the time when the Island Nations were finally emerging from a lull lasting since the very beginning of the war game, and were finally gaining decent troop numbers. Some of you may not know this now, but back in the day, the Island Nations' forum was populated by only me, Futch, and Njord.
Anyway, also by Phase 11, Tinto had established itself as a major threat. I knew the battle to reclaim/liberate my lost territory would be difficult.
Believing that Tinto would expect me to focus on cutting off Asra by way of Lasahn for the following phase, I distributed my troops in a way to respond to this and ideally take both regions. This meant sending the bulk of my troops to Asra, and should my assumption be wrong, would mean taking only one region with no cut-offs was the best I could hope for. My belief proved to be correct, and after some vicious fighting (that brought out Jalat) and advice from John Layfield (my strategist at the time), I persevered.
I've fancied myself a great strategist in the overall scheme of things, but I will be the first to tell you that I'm a terrible tactician. Probably the worst of the Nation Leaders. These two battles were my legacy in that regard though, so I'm very proud of them. |

In the war system, I still think fondly of when Parallax and I decided to change Sierra Mikain's regiment to Clerics mid-battle.
And then there was turn 2 of the Lion's Maw battle in phase 14 where I predicted all of Tinto's units exactly. I felt so friggin awesome then. _________________

Futch's duel with Kasim Hazil was pretty amazing too. The write up that Parallax did for it was awesome. I loved it. _________________ The immortal chickens shall rule the world!! |

Ohhhh, fuck, I forgot about that. I was pissed at him for not finishing the bastard off, so I went in and took Kasim on myself. I killed him with an inch of my life remaining. That also reminds me of the finals in the one tournament with me vs Elzamine, where she literally won because she had crippled my SPEED STAT of all things. _________________

Coming up with names for our regions was fun, as was constructing our NPC's who never saw battle. _________________

To be fair, they all sucked except Glen Cott, whom I had to fight tooth and nail with Vextor to even get. _________________ One day, I shall come back. Yes, we shall all come back.
