Nameless Lands VS Zexen at Budeduc Castle

As Gaara at the head of the massive army of Zexen marches upon the Fortress of Budehuc, Shrew The Lord of the Vague has his army retreat behind the fortified walls seeking any advantage possible in this bitter battle of wills.

Sensing a momentary weakness within the Nameless Lands forces as they retreat Gaara orders Milan Fiori and his force of 7,000 archers to pursue and destroy as many of the fleeing forces as possible. Milan Fiori's bravery and leadership is once again proved true as he and his archers strafe the parapets of the Fortress with arrows, felling many brave warriors. However from his place of command Shrew observes that many of the arrows are wasting themselves against high walls of the Fortress. Issuing commands to his warriors Shrew plays his counter-stroke and hopes it will suffice.

Milan Fiori encouraged by his success advances towards the walls of Budehuc. However in his excitement he strays too far from the Zexen army.

Hidden by the walls of the Fortress tekknopirate and his 8,548 Cavalry soldiers watch Milan Fiori's unit advance on the Castle. Sensing that the time is right tekknopirate leads the charge towards the flank of the unsuspecting archers. Hearing the thunder of hooves Milan Fiori sees his vulnerability and quickly organises his defence against the Cavalry charge. Arrows fly in a storm towards the charging horsemen felling many, however as Shrew had noticed many of the Archers were having difficulty in aiming at the horsemen due to their close proximity to the Castle. With a crash the Cavalry smash into the now defenceless Archers, slaying the bowmen where they stand.

Panicked the Archers break ranks and flee the battle with the Cavalry chasing them down and slaying them as they run. Victory belongs to tekknopirate and his troops slaying 4,274 of the enemy archers. However the cost is high as 2,625 of his own troops where slain in the charge towards the archers.

Enraged Gaara commands torebaa and his troops of 7,000 archers forward to wipe out the victorious Cavalry unit as they retreat towards the Fortress. Running ahead of the army the Archers once again fill the air with arrows in their attack upon the Nameless Lands forces. Shrew although surprised by the second Archer attack once again issues his commands to his small but dedicated forces.

Marching in impressive battle order Saunts and his 1,901 Infantry soldiers advance upon the numerically superior Archer unit. Using their full body shields the Infantrymen render the arrow attack upon them useless. torebaa seeing his attack foiled issues the order to retreat. However in the heat of the battle he gives the order too late. With a mighty war cry the Infantry of Saunts charges towards the retreating Archers with devastating effect. Panic stricken the archers of Zexen once again flee the field, losing 1,901 of their brave troops as they are cut down by the advancing Infantry. With victory in hand Saunts marches back to the Fortress having not lost a single soldier in his force.

Seeing the morale of his army crumbling Gaara orders his forces to retire from the field, vowing that next time will be different.

The Nameless Lands forces cheer as they realise they have defeated the Zexen army.... For today anyway.

Having proven that the walls of Budehuc are not as weak as they appear, the troops Nameless Lands laugh and hurl insults at the Zexen troops below them. The outraged Gaara decides to assualt the castle with his own 4000 calvary. Working his men into a fury, Gaara charges the castle where he is met by tekknopirate's calvary unit, now reinforced with 5923 new troops from Budehuc.

The two units begin a bloody clash, and the field quickly becomes filled with the corpses of men and horses. Gaara's men fight furiously for their leader and slay 3000 Nameless Lands men. The defeated Tekknopirate retreats back into the castle. Gaara laughs at his enemies, but he has lost 2961 of his men and is unable to continue his assualt. He orders Neo Juste Belmont to continue the attack.

Neo Juste Belmont's 9000 infantrymen approach the walls with rams. But they are suprised when the castle gates suddenly open and Matheau and his 3730 calvary charge out. Where the Namless Lands pass only dead bodies remain behind them. Neo Juste Belmont orders a hasty retreat, but not before losing 3730 of his men as well as the rams.

Having just arrived back at the Zexen camp, Gaara is shocked to learn that Neo Juste Belmont has already been defeated. He quickly orders Percival to lead his 7000 calvary and regain the field.

Percival's men charge across the hills toward Budehuc castle, eager to engage the enemy. They howl madly as they ride and Matheau's men begin to take fright. Percival rides to front of his man and draws his sword, striking fear into the defending troops. But just as the Zexen horsemen are about to reach the enemy lines they are surrounded by a wall of flame.

Shocked, Percival desperately looks for the source of the flame, and through the fire he sees the laughing face of Goldmember. Goldmember's 10645 magicians had arrived from Kamaro moments before Percival's men had begun their charge. Percival immediately spun his horse about and made his retreat. Goldmember chuckled as he signaled his men, and the earth under the Zexen calvary began to crack and rumble. Flames began to erupt from the ground, and there was an explosion of fire and rock. All that was left was a blackened crater littered with the charred corpses of man and horse.

A very badly burned- though still alive- Percival rode back alone to the Zexen camp. He reported his defeat to Gaara and promptly fainted from his wounds. Gaara had him taken to the Zexen healers, and then ordered the army to begin retreating. Shortly thereafter the disheartend Gaara led his men home, but vowed that he would one day reclaim the lands of Budehuc.

Result:

Round 1- tekknopirate (-3000) is defeated by Gaara (-2961)

Round 2- Matheau defeats Neo Juste Belmont (-3730)

Round 3) Goldmember demolishes Percival (-7000)

The Nameless Lands successfully defend Budehuc.
