I never really much cared for the Guitar Hero series. I loved Dance Dance Revolution and some other rhythm genre games, but this one just didn't stick out for me.

But I wouldn't mind knowing what's on III. Then I might consider it.

Guitar Hero I is alot easier than guitar hero II. I almost beat guitar hero I but i cant beat the last two songs on expert. Guitar Hero II 2 is just too hard for me.

Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden
La Grange - ZZ Top
Suck My Kiss - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Whatever happened to all the better Maiden songs, like, The Wicker Man and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son? Although it's decent, RHCP having an old song in the game is great, at least it's not Snow or Dani California.

And the other song, oh yeah....

Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce

Noo.

EDIT: Oh, don't worry, TTF&F is just a bonus song, it's going to be otherwise no one will beat the game.

More tracks just confirmed!

The first three are all shared with Rock Band:

Reptilia - The Strokes
Mississippi Queen - Mountain
Paranoid - Black Sabbath

And the next three are all new:

3's and 7's - Queens of the Stone Age
Miss Murder - AFI
Cities on Flame - Blue Oyster Cult

These two have been confirmed by a couple of foreign sources, so it's not sure, but likely (similar to Matchbook Romance's claim that their song Monster is in):

Hearts on Fire - Hammerfall
Heavy Metal Lady - Lions

And these two deserve to be last because they're finally in the game.

Raining Blood - Slayer
One - Metallica

Archy, if they picked Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, you would be playing for 9+ minutes. Let's save that for Guitar Hero Epic. Even then, we are going to play Rime of the Ancient Mariner!

I actually can't wait for Guitar Hero 3 since I heard 80's was rather lackluster.

I am quite happy that One has been included for Guitar Hero III. Thor, I think it would really be interesting if they released an Epic version of Guitar Hero. No track shorter than 6 minutes in play time. They can even bring back Free Bird but this time around include the 12 minute versions. From Metallica they could include any of the tracks in their ...And Justice for All album. I don't think there's a track in that album that doesn't hit 7 minutes easy.

Tull, Guitar Hero Epic would be a godsend for me. Let us pitch the idea...or wait patiently. As for Metallica, I would be very upset if Master of Puppets was not represented.

Guitar Hero III: I have this weird feeling that Raining Blood is going to be covered very, very poorly.

According to IGN, Raining Blood is a master track. So, err, no worries about horribly botched covers.

Only 9 songs are going to be covers so far... the rest are all master tracks. I think they said nearly 3/4 of the songs in this game are going to be master tracks... which is good, I guess. Though that means they can't add any insane solos or stuff.

As for that Epic idea, it would just have to include Quiet Riot's Laughing Gas, and Guns N' Roses' Coma.

As for some more news... there's going to be a new playable character. Her name is Midori, and obviously, she represents the genre of... J-Rock. >_>

The game has just been international bands-alized.
