Yup, they're playing at Eastern Illinois University's homecoming. I'm not sure of the exact date yet.

I think if an actual band had played at my school I would've gone. But I sat out things like prom & homecoming. People act sad for me when I tell them this, but I didn't miss anything. I hate being in crowds and formal situations, dances, etc.

Why the hell I like concerts is beyond me

I saw Dropkick Murphys last night. The venue was a real hole in the wall, but surprisingly accommodating. None of the employees there knew who the opening (presumably local) band was, they have no website, and the venue's phone number is out of service, so I may never know. I think the singer said a three word name ending in "Archive". They said they recently had a song featured in a documentary called "For the Flesh", but I couldn't find anything on that either.

I might go see Camera Obscura tonight.

Camera Obscura put on an average show, absolutely nothing special. That it came a day after one of the greatest live bands in the world may have influenced my opinion, but I doubt it. They definitely sound better in the studio. And Anni Rossi was a third rate Owen Pallett ripoff who fell flat on her face.

I seen Dash Rip Rock live at the New Orleans Heritage Festival. I doubt anyone here has heard of it since it is only known as a party band in southern United States, particularly in New Orleans.

I got to see the band and go backstage because the bandleader knows my dad and gave us backstage passes.

I went to see Blink182, Panic! At the Disco, and Fall Out Boy tonight. Blink and FOB were pretty awesome. Panic wasn't that great. There was some other band called Chester French or something like that (couldn't really understand what they said it was) and they sucked. A tad too much electronica for a concert like this and their singer sucked monkey butt.

Fucking amazing back to back gigs. Sunn had me hallucinating without any drugs. No other band can do this.

Awesome show, I don't think there will ever be many opportunities to see chiptune artists on tour.
